The famous Oblivion weapon set seen in Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul gets a complete facelift for Skyrim! Here is the Sword, the pilot model/texture in a WIP format, functioning in-game. So far, only the base normals baked from hi-poly gemoetry and the texture-baked "ayleid curves" normals for the steel-over-iron have been done.
Model by me, part of the normals by me, and the rest of the textures will be done by AJ Camp. I call it the "pilot" because it's an exploratory endeavor by both AJ and me which will establish techniques to use for the rest of the set.
The preliminary plan is to do the seven melee weapons as well as a quest and some backstory, and set up how to make them. I will not just fork them over to the player, I never liked doing that, and these will be pretty high-end anyway. To that end, the smithing reqs are fairly high (Arcane Smithing, which itself has a requisite of 60 Smithing) and will require some specialized materials to make (the apparati through which you procure them will be provided through the course of the quest).
