WIP shot of a white phial replacer I'm working on. Tried to incorporate some snow elf designs into this version, borrowed rather heavily from Auriel's bow & shield. Gotta clean up the normal map a bit, and I'm planning to add some decorative markings on the flask itself. I also think a bit of frost creeping up on the metal parts will help bring together the design quite nicely.

    I like pretty much everything about this. Idea, mesh, snow elf aspects, the frost you were talking about, all seriously cool stuff!

    A suggestion I have is to make the metal part silver as opposed to the current gold, even just turning the saturation to zero on the texture. I'm not sure why but I feel like it would make it more snowy (real descriptive, right? Sorry I can't be more precise. :p) You're the artist, but that's just my 2 cents. Can't wait for a release!

      I've already considered changing the colour myself, brownish-yellow just doesn't look quite right with snow or ice, which has blue highlights. I was planning to go for a dull iron to be more in keeping with the alchemist theme in the rest of the game, which is rather down-to-earth and practical. I realise the bottle is a bit ornate for that, but maybe the material can help tie it all together. Or I could go for ebony, that would make a nice, dark contrast to the bottle.

      Oh, ebony would be nice. I agree about the iron, the white phial seems like it should be given a more grandiose treatment.

      I'm not sure about this, but maybe a red-tinged metal, to echo the ancient Falmeri armor we see in-game and tie it in with Auriel's bow?

    you plan to keep the broken phial texture untouched with the old textures? or you will make a better version of the broken phial aswell?

      Of course I'll replace all version, or it wouldn't all fit together very well. This is the way I envision the phial could've looked originally - I want to get that right before I add the cracks and then patch it up again.
