About this image

Onyx ring I'm working on. Gave it a different cut from my other gems to make it stand out a bit more even though it's opaque and doesn't sparkle (plus I was getting bored with the other gem shape).

Uh, why? That's a totally different jewelry replacer from mine... Besides, there are no onyx rings in the vanilla game, so I doubt testiger2 would even be interested. This is for CCOR / Immersive Jewelry.

Ok... what did you have in mind? I don't really think the onyx circlets need much improving on mesh-wise, but Gemling Queen Jewelry tends to stay much closer to the vanilla look than DovahBling does, so you might disagree. Anyways your 3D-modelling skill are quite up to the task from what I've seen of your mod, you wouldn't need my help with that (sorry for being such a nitpick by the way, I didn't mean to scare anyone off).

The onyx gem is a simple honeycomb sphere that I squashed and cut up to fit the socket. If you use Blender, there's an addon that lets you make regular polygon shapes, that's what I used. There's not even a proper texture on it by the way, it's just a boring black square and flat normals, plus one of the vanilla cubemaps (ore_ebony_e.dds if I'm not mistaken).

what i have i mind is of course different models for each gemtype and gender.
what i could need your help with would be textures for the solid gems onyx and the moonstone.
maybe i could use some of your resources and create meshes for it or maybe i create the meshes beforehand and than come back to you?

I'm about to upload the onyx ring (and the other new gems I made, aquamarine, peridot and amber) as a modder's resource, use any of the assets included that you need. I'm rather busy at the moment so I can't get involved in a full-fledged modding project, but if you'd like me to make a particular texture for you (once the mesh is done) I'll be glad to help.

Nexus doesn't notify me about comments left on my images and I'm probably not going to keep tabs on this one much longer, so if I don't respond here try contacting me through PM or on my Gemling Queen Jewelry page.

      Edit: Released here.

gorgeous!please use this cut for some other stones as well for some variety! I think tis would look great on the garnet rings to differentiate it further from the ruby.
