About this image

I just started using 3ds max yesterday, so if this is a stupid question please bear with me. I'm trying to convert the vanilla Savior's Hide to CBBE v3. I got a model into the game successfully (using 1 mesh for both the 0 and 1 nifs, I don't want to mess with weight sliders yet).

My problem is, I need to delete parts of the CBBE body that are covered by the armor. I tried but 3ds max gave me an export error and crashed. So, I just moved the vertices in to hide the body underneath to get it in the game. Predictably, there is major clipping.

Can someone help me out or point me in the right direction?

I figured it out, finally. Like Axeface pointed out, I had to make a new bsdismember skin modifier and reselect all the polygons. Tested in game ok so far. So, now I have to figure out how to get the weight slider to work correctly.

Awesome! Savior´s Hide is one of my favorite armors in game. I hope you upload the cbbe version when you finished it.

darkdream, I sent you the links.

Axeface, I may have to do that. (In my searches i've seen a few tutorials on that floating around) But if I can I'd like the mesh to be as clean as possible.

Well you could select the faces you want gone and give them a different texture with 100% alpha, not sure how well full transparency works in skyrim but it should be fine. Many mods use it to remove parts of armour.

I edited the CBBE mesh myself for the push up. If I can figure this out, I'll try to do this for some more armor and clothing and release it for download.
