Ulfirc is dead, the Civil War over, yet Skyrim herself seems to share in my... ambivalence towards it.
 
I'm not a big fan of the Civil War part of Skyrim. It's unnecessary, it should have been you and the Empire taking the fight to the Thalmor and kicking them outta Skyrim.

But no, we get Ulfric Stormcloak and his "Real Nords love Talos!" mentality. (Check the Video Games section. There's a connection.)

If Ulfric could've keep his raging boner love for Talos in check, he maybe would've seen that the Empire only superficially banned worship of Talos and was only biding their time until the Thalmor attacked again.

But that's my opinion. I know how any debates on this subject can turn... heated. Enough naval contemplating, Alduin, Harkon, and MIraak are just over the horizon.
