hehehe... that's true i'm actually thinking to implement enviromental map/masks to book update ,or at least to provide support for any mesh modification allowing use of envmask... in a proper way, no generic env in other words that do just damage sometime. that would mean to put the hands on the whole damn book thing challenge of course accepted... what else?
indeed MC,also orchish if i remember correctly... the various conversions would be a pain , cbbe and whatelse and fixes... i'll just add proper envmask and make new cubes so anything should be supported
this is a new one, i just kept most recent normal maps (lazy guy in action ) and applied few improvements to them. some works of mine need a better version. since i got almost all old files on layers with selections and stuff already done work will be easier. it's an opportunity to add also variants for each sets, this in example sould come in 4 "flavours " . Probably the content addon package used by the book so far will become the core of the mod, making all variants available ingame.i think it's usefull for two reasons: it will allow the use of other texture replacers easily (install everything then reinstall other replacer and you can find regular set from othwer mods and variants from the book in game) second a choice will not be forced between a version and another from the book , will be all available in game with nice variety. it's quite an ambitious project... for the moments we're a two men army: me and Kryptopyr (that should make a man and a woman army to say the truth) and we will clearly need help but i'm confident that something will see the light soon or later.
That's really cool will the new variants you are planning be crafting only? or will they distributed throughout the game? Also are you planning on retexturing any new armors that you haven't don't yet like the thieves guild or daedric?

Also... I just recalled that Imperial Heavy armor also is env-less as well.
