   Are you aware of how to smooth your objects so that they are not blocky? Or do you just do that at the end? If you are unaware, go to edit mode, press W or E and choose option that says set to smooth(NOT Make Smooth, this is a different option).
   
   Also, even if you do weight it( a fairly easy process), you still need textures for it to be visible ingame. And then you need to work Nifskope magic and then you to need to make unique item names in the CK.
   
   My suggestion to you would be to do armor mashups of vanilla items and equipment until you become more confident with the tools. Even veteran modders are easily confused by Skyrim and the CK and the current workflow. Take your time and you will improve!
