This is my Altmer mage character, Arya. The scene is from Elenwen's reception during the main quest, hence the title and all the finery. It always bothered me how the game just throws a generic (and very ugly) robe at the player regardless of gender or race, when I was trying to roleplay the scion of a noble family that knows damn well how to dress up properly. So this is how I envison it instead.

All designs are my own, the only thing taken from the game is the facial tattoo. I was originally going to give her the typical Skyrim mage robes and a vanilla circlet, but went with something prettier instead - I may have overdone it a bit with the dragon symbols though, even Elenwen should be able to connect the dots there. Besides, it's kind of hard to abscond from an event unnoticed when you're the most radiant person in the room. :D

I realise her skin tone isn't quite yellow enough and the eyes don't look like an Altmer in any of the games. To my defense, I find the eyes quite ugly in all TES games up to Skyrim, and I'd only started playing ESO (where high elves look amazing, frankly, I love the huge eyes) after the painting was half done. I guess it's fine though, the high elf character from Bethesda's official ESO trailer looks nothing like the Altmers ingame, either.

So anyways, I hope you enjoy the painting. I know this image section is usually reserved for screenshots, but hey, a bit of fan art can't hurt.
