"Reaper" 's dual scimitars were a gift from a friend and fellow warrior during the war in Hammerfell against the Thalmor. "Reaper" treated them with great care then, and now they are among his most treasured items, as his friend perished many years ago. He cares for them, but still takes them into combat, and will use little else against Thalmor opponents.

Adding more backstory to my character, something I greatly enjoy.
