About this image

Here is a shot I took of the forested path leading out of Riverwood as I was heading to a spot where I wanted to capture some shots for Edrelle's tale, I liked how the haze of mist of the rainy evening made things look mysterious. I have finished capturing the shots I need for the next chapter of the tale and will soon start on the writing.

I like how the overcast sky looms over the trail. Is danger lurking just ahead? We will see.

The sky was a bit ominous that night but all there was on that trail were the sounds of the forest

Very beautiful and lovely capture! Such small light in darkness but even single candle can banish the upcoming darkness as it was said in one fantasy movie.

I am delighted you find this capture beautiful, Nataly ^^ Even a small light among shadows certainly makes the darkness feel far less unsettling

So pretty and, I daresay, romantic. A single little light, surrounded by darkness, letting the lonely wanderers find their path through the night. Gorgeous.

It is good to hear you find the shot so pretty, Kayol, the warmth of the lantern does have something comforting about it among the shadows, telling wanderers they have not lost their way as if the voice of one dear, glad it has something romantic to it

I think the lantern is what makes this shot, along with the approaching night time.

That lantern did draw my attention to capture a shot, standing out among the dim light of dusk, I am glad you think it really makes the shot, Wadelycan

Ha! You did a road sign shot! :-) I love road sign shots. They remind me so much of some old AD& pen and paper sessions. Makes me think of bands of dungeon and dragon adventurers out on the road seeking adventure and coming to the road signs with the lantern. Fun memories. Wonderful shot Alexi.

I do like to capture shots of those road signs, they stand in some pretty scenic spots :-) The signs do seem to represent that potential for adventure, pointing in many directions where one could find new sights and discover mysteries, something that certainly fits with dungeons and dragons. Thank you very much, Jonathan

Shadows do hide some dangers but luckily nothing lurked beyond the path, there were but the nighttime sounds of the forest and a whisper wind, great to hear you really like this shot, Shelley
