When I was working on my marketplace mesh overhaul this morning, I decided to do somthing about the cringing - and unlogical - straight flow of the road pavement (Noble's texture or any other precise equivalent, otherwise it's... okayish, somehow). It might do justice, or at least help you enjoy even more, Pfuscher's glorious paralax mod, for example.

Anyway, here's my WIP of the new winding road, it's pavement now flowing along the actual path. Just a quick test for now, as I didn't fine tune it nor did the same UV change on the grass decal but I will.
It's not difficult work, just a bit delicate as you basically have to balance some deliberate UV stretching (which are NOT always a bad thing, as any experienced modeler would tell you). And of course, the border  UVs have to fit the neighboring meshes too, another simple but a bit time consuming constraint... still, I think that the result is worth it and if there is interest, I'll fine tune this, release as a new mod, and perhaps do some other road parts of Whiterun.

    You know, I never had a problem with this before, but now that there's a solution, I need it desperately. Great work!

      Yeah, that's how it happened to me too, I did use such textures before without realize what really bothered me... until I did, this morning, and now it's part of those things that you can't "unsee" or ignore anymore. Lol.
