I can totally understand your ramblings, since i almost have the same habits… i love to work on large and story-driven image sets, but sometimes they can consume one and i know how it can burn someone out. Especially if you pour out your complete passion for a set and then don't want to rush a single image while at the same time getting tired and wanting to rush… But the outcome is something really fascinating as i've seen in your previous sets, so keep it up and just stay on your own pace without any compulsion to post in time... nonetheless such a set is very enjoyable too

Thanks for the comments, Sim :) Yeah, I find the week or two after releasing something very frustrating because all my ideas go dead and I don't feel like doing anything (but I still want to do something.. kind of like boredom but not quite). I'm glad you feel similar since your sets are just as long and story-driven, even more than mine since you have a continuing narrative in most.

Everything looks so beautiful. And the images themselves look gorgeous too.

No wonder you like to show what you are working on if it looks this cool

Great images all of them and I agree with Will! Especially that shot of Whiterun is really nice. :)

An addition to the ramblings, if I may: I was intrigued by your situation as I sort of feel like I’m in the opposite state. I want to try something more ambitious and well thought out, I guess, compared to my usual assortment of random pictures. I’ve attempted some times to make a grand story based set; none of them ended up as great as I’d originally envisioned them. And just from the few times I’ve actually managed to finish one and post it to the Nexus, I can definitely understand that burn-out you speak of. I also tend to just drift back into my usual habits, which for me means shooting landscapes and bland portraits. I think that’s just a normal thing that happens for many of us. The whole subconsciously moving towards what is known, well-trodden and comfortable (which isn't necessarily bad unless the intention is to try something new, of course. :P ). To try and avoid that drifting, to some degree, I’ve sort of placed myself in a kind of middle ground between the two, where I’m putting more effort into those few images trying to tell smaller individual stories for each picture, while not attempting to go full on Tolkien. That’s what I’m aiming for anyway. That being said, I still long for taking on larger projects with a decent story or at least continuity, but almost lack the constitution to see them through and also be satisfied with them in the end.

I guess I just envy that ability to more or less consistently make large and captivating image sets that, to my mind, you and others here have. And I especially envy the amazing quality of your posts. :)

It's good to know there's someone to empathise with even if it's seems like we're on opposite sides of the experience. I'd like to post more often myself, to be honest, but like you said about the whole habits thing, I just kind of drift back to the once-a-month summaries and I guess it feels like I'm missing out somehow.
Thanks for taking the time to respond, and I appreciate the compliment :)

Oh.. um, to be honest, I don't really remember. I had to port it over but it was a few months ago now and I didn't really think twice about it, hah. All I remember was working on the textures for a really long time.
I'm glad you like her skin :) I work on it a lot :p More than I should, that's for sure. It's a mashup of a lot of different textures all blended together. Mostly RWoS though.

Great character Artsick! I also really like that Whiterun shot, it makes it seem like the trade capital of Skyrim instead of a bunch of houses on a plain
