    I quite like Freyda. She has a good balance of playfulness and seriousness,
    she is humble about what she doesn't know, and still confident in what she does know.

      Making a character that people will like and want to succeed; I've been writing stories for 13 years now and am starting to get more at ease with writing in sympathetic characters. Sometimes I base them on people I've met, or sometimes on how I wish they could be like. The big thing is to make them likeable.

    I wanted this from the moment Freyda took up with Kaiden. Now I sort of feel bad for Golldir, who has probably loved her since first setting eyes on her.

      Yes I know what you mean. Golldir is the one left out. But Freyda remembers how Golldir left his Aunt to die in the barrow and she doesn't think he would protect her as well as Kaidan would.
