Very sexy character and I love her eyes.
I'm all for originality, and I look for the things in other images that set them apart also.
But I have to admit, since my compy can barely handle the lightest ENB settings (I get around 12 fps outdoors),
that one of my main "mods" is actually photoshop, lols. That's fine with me though, it's forced me to learn some
things that my otherwise procrastination prone personality would prolly have kept me from.
I chose that image to do the B&W because of the detail (especially the gloves and quiver), so I'm happy they were noticed.
The main image was really washed out in the original bmp, so again I'm happy all the color work I did made an impression.
I had a lot of fun (and a bit of struggle, but that was fun too really) editing that Solitude image.
I hindsight, I wish I'd uploaded the one that had the effects more evident, but I liked them both.
Glad you like her Alex. The band is one of my favorites,
I am actually forcing myself to not spam my images with them, lols.
I'm really happy you enjoyed them Les.
Reminds me of the German type of metal from the eighty's. ( Scorpions fi. )
Nice colorscheme in your daytime images.
Nevermores guitarist, Jeff Loomis, like me, is very influenced by Uli Jon Roth, the Scorpions guitarist in the 70's,
I really loved this era of the Scorpions). He joined them after Michael Schencker (another awesome player) left to join UFO.
I still love this, imo Klaus Miene had one of the best voices ever in hard rock.
Jeff Loomis tried out for Megadeath, but they refused him only because he was just 16 at the time.
Very sadly, Warrell Dane, the singer for Nevermore passed away last year.
His lyrics are some of the best I've heard in metal, and in a time when almost every singer
was doing that cookie monster thing, he could really sing and had a very unique voice.
He is greatly missed by so many.
My tastes are constantly growing. Still love all the old classics I fell in love with as a youngster, but I also
loved fusion and prog rock, plus all sorts of genres from all over the world even back then. I was so lucky
to have grown up in a household where I could hear The Beatles one minute, then Otis Redding, then some classical,
blues or jazz the next.
Still finding newer genres I love to this day, and please, everyone feel free to share anything here, in PM, or otherwise.
I'm always searching for something I haven't heard yet. ^-^
Was your imgur working yesterday then? Mine still wasn't long after I posted this.
Left an image uploading for nearly 3 hours, then gave up.
I had fun with the Solitude shot in photoshop. Had a version witch was even more of a painted effect,
but it didn't do quite what I wanted. My tastes can change, albeit very subtly, from one minute to the other, lols.
The image of Solitude is terrific, almost like a painting, really great.
Really happy you enjoyed them.
