About 45 Imperial troops were ambushed from two sides by about 50 Stormcloaks near the Broken Towere Redoubt.
The strength was about equal but the Imperials were somehow brought down rather quickly.
The battle ended in an Imperial defeat and rout.
Surviving three ran for their lives but the Stormcloaks chased and finished them off.
It was a grim sight.
