I loved the Eric rescue story too -- though sadly I think it was an in-between story that never made it to PDF while the pics were still on Flickr.
And I still can't believe the game has been out that long! By the Nine, eight years already?
Aye the Eric story was part of a different book called the Black Wolf Company - A Soldiers Life. I told short stories of various members of the BWC and never put them into PDF. I also didn't put any of my other character stories into PDF (Kavel, Wolf, Marrok, Wulver) nor the more recent stories of Grim. I would like to but that project was a huge amount of time and work. I would have to get pretty bored, or very motivated, to do the rest.
Plus all in all I felt the 5 books on Grim were the best of the bunch.
Splendid work
P.S. 8 years & still kicking > so true.
This is a fantastic compilation of the images you still have, since I know, you lost a lot of them on the Flickr debacle last year. If I had to choose a favorite, I would go with the portrait of Marrok
I do like a consistent world, even across games and such. Probably why I always tend to play a Fenn or Wolf in most games. Grim, I feel, pretty much belongs in the Skyrim world although I did have his soul exist for my DAI game - which I tied into Skyrim through the Dreamsleeve - part of his training with Hircine. But overall Fenrir is the one who travels the most - an archetype of nature and life that can exist anywhere life and nature exists.
From the looks of things I don't see Skyrim or FO going anywhere soon. I still have stories to tell although my focus is returning somewhat to Skyrim for stories after all the writing I did with Jotun and Lobo.
I don't do themes at all at the moment...
But if I did I'd be proud of sticking these up wolf
Well done mate
I am also very intrigued about new possible short story with Grim and it was so wonderful to see past shots with Grim and his team and family again, to remeber all the stories that took place over the years, the characters and their foes, like Domina, Ancano, and others. I like to reread stories about Grim's many adventures nad it is great you have them in PDf format. Also it was awesome to remember past stories about Grim due to the shots, that old shot with Erik and young Wolfgar was so cute along with Grim rescue from Molag Bal and his servants. By the way, I think you have amazing version of Molag Bal and for me such design looks so perfectly fitting to his Skyrim voice.
I have been toying with Grim's story for a few months now but been too distracted and tired with work and other things to write much. I was also working on Jotun the Frost Giant in FO and finally finished his stories.
What I want to do with Grim is have a story that goes back to his roots. Meaning it won't be the big epic kind most of his have been of late. More focused on his human side with a simpler story that will see him displaying his training in the guild (he is a master at stealth, dual blades, and lock picking as far as his original abilities along with a lot of utility magic relating to the elements, nature, illusion, and healing). So no gods, demons, princes, or epic stuff - more an every day adventure that happens. With hopefully a little focus on his human relationships.
My three favorite stories (currently it changes sometimes when I re-read his stories) for him is the one with Erik saving him from Molag's plots, the one where he rescues Wolfgar from the DB and he joins his mind with Hircine in the Wild Hunt, and the battle against Despair. I still have that version of Molag saved as it is also my favorite look for him.
This is a terrific set by all accounts! It perfectly chronicles your journey with snippets of events
Perfect!
With each shot you can feel the charterers, If I have to showcase Nexus to a friend, this page is bookmarked
Also don't think I ever saw Grim in his first version, I possibly wasn't around then. Very dishy in all of his iterations with his trademark smirk
Here's to 8 more years. Which may be the case if Bethesda keeps on it's current track with the next Elder Scrolls :O
Grim had 3 versions (I didn't include his middle iteration) and tons of fine tweaking over 3 months before I settled on the look he has now (although when I switched to some custom textures I removed the tattoo as I didn't want to much around with texture again).
