Raise your hand if you find Oblivion's soundtrack to be nicer than Skyrim's.

Nettie looking deep in thought :) I only have distant memories of Oblivion from long ago I do like the music but not as much as Skyrim, probably because I have over 10.000 in-game hours and only a fraction of that in Oblivion :)

I don't think I've ever listened to the Skyrim soundtrack outside of the game, whereas I do listen to Oblivion's occasionally. My two top favorite game soundtracks, paws down, however, are Dragon Age Origins' and The Witcher's (any of the three games) music followed by Fallout 3's.

I‘m listening since a long time not the original soundtrack for Skyrim and the various mods are bringing a lot of diversity ... so it depends from my own mood what I like more

I do use mods like these from time to time, but in the end I always return to the vanilla music.

    My hand is raised
I actually think Oblivion has a better, less grim look too, though Skyrim is the better game !

      "Skyrim is the better game"

That's debatable. Oblivion is a deeper RPG, and the game world generally feels more alive.

It sounds very harmonious and sensitive. I think Nettie already indulges in the music and thinks about her best way to get to Oblivion.

      "very harmonious and sensitive"

      Indeed! And very meditative.

      "to Oblivion"

      Well...

I'd say Skyrim's soundtrack is a bit too serious. I mean, I get that Bethesda tried to nail that nordic vibe, but still. However, Skyrim has one very nice track that evokes momories of older RPGs. It sounds like it came straight from Oblivion.
