I don't think the film you mention ever came to Italy, but it can be viewed on Youtube. It is certainly a horror film that represents rural beliefs well, and which of course are at the origin of the vampire representation. And in fact the vampire of the film has a lot in common in her aesthetic aspect with my character, although Dragomira is a daytime vampire of Cyrodil, well integrated in the aristocracy of the capital. These vampires drink animal blood, they are the weakest but their ability to hide among mortals allows them to have great political power. Of course these vampires struggle with their feral side and Dragomira often escapes the rules by eating with much tastier banquets.

The reasons for the censorship about the movie are to be found in the fact that the""new man" of communism had to base himself on reason and supplant old beliefs. The illusion of Socialism is that once the class struggle is resolved, all man's anxieties vanish, because they are only a superstructural product born to hide and legitimize aristocratic and bourgeois power then. Instead, the old beliefs survive because the political economy is never really able to fully re-institutionalize the world and free human beings from the forces, desires and anxieties that animate it.

Thank you very much for the comment and the link for the movie.

I like the way how you thinking, when you have a distinct desire to substantiate your own idea with interesting arguments.Dragomira cannot escape from the primordial impulse,if she wants to prosper she must adapt otherwise it will soon be obvious that she is an outcast Well about movie what to say then that I completely agree with you, after all I'm a child of communism...I was born and raised in such a political environment somehow I miss that golden time when moral values had significance..everything is so different today...

Pleasure is all mine, you are welcome Fabrizio
      Be well and stay safe
