    Oh wow, the Theme is back!  This is a great time to come back to shooting again.  Lovely shots in the introductory roll as always- I love the diversity of color palettes and compositions you bring to bear here.  I'll try to pull something together for this one, probably right at the deadline just for old times' sake.

    A great theme for a comeback, my friend, touching one of the fundamental parts of this game and such games in general. I really like the idea and the great examples of your invitational set, a true inspiration to find a suitable image for this theme and this community event. (Are some of the shots from Enderal? I can't recall to have seen something similar anywhere in Skyrim )

    I am definitely aboard for this one, even if it's only a collection of old shots, since time is very scarce for me lately... But I would have an idea and already the necessary assets for a little set, maybe not Skyrim related, but very much "The Gate" related (luckily, there's plenty of time, maybe also a good formula to keep for this event)

      You're most welcome and although it's been a bit tedious at times to put these collections together, the reward is well worth it with a combined community collaboration. We've also seen some images I dare say wouldn't be captured without the themes, especially those of creative art and great imagination. I like all kinds of contributions though and you already know I hardly experiment a lot myself - except for switching LUTs like crazy - so "common" captures are just as good. I mean, that's what I do for the whole presentation...

      But yes, I'm feel more ready to host this event more frequently again...and by frequently I mean every second month or so. I don't want to burn all the fuel at once...

    Absolutely gorgeous screenshots as always, Rick! 

    I don't think I've ever joined in on one of your theme events before. I just recently revamped my Skyrim SE modlist to start it up again, so this is a perfect opportunity for me to jump in and see what I can come up with. 

    I just have to say that the last two images in your set are my absolute favorite. The lighting, colors, and framing are wonderful. Looking forward to seeing all of the selected contributions when it is over :)

      I can't recall if you've been included before or not, but I trust your instinct when you say you haven't. I've ran this event for more than two years, but the last theme I released was back in October last year, so it's been a while. Needed a break from it all to be honest, but also because of my own switch to SE. Nowadays I'm a lot more frequent in SE, but I still try to kickstart my old LE once in a while. I'm very glad you feel eager and ready to give the event a chance. The more, the merrier as they say and I really try to involve more new names in this community thing as well. It's for our benefit, all of us, newcomers, veterans and all in-between. Of course, I do like it if people also try to challenge themselves a bit with the theme. It's menat to spark creativity and inspiration after all...

      The second last one of the lever in front of the iron gate is from one of my most recent test play with good old LE, so I'm happy to hear it turned out nice. The very last of the chasm is from inside a well, taken when playing Enderal.

      Best of luck with your captures and I just know the final presentation will be a blast. They always are!

      Yepp! A brand new one and one of my favorites to be launched actually! I do have some high expectations about this one, because the theme itself can provide so much with so little. It's a rather eye-catching title too and I can see a lot in those two words combined with the right kind of images. It's almost cinematic or gives off such vibes at least...

      Very happy to hear you're considering this one already! I know you struggle a bit with the gameplay of Skyrim at the moment and hopefully the theme event can help bring some joy back. The creativity I already know you have, because you've delivered some of the most astonishing contributions to my themes over the years...

    It has been a long time since the last theme, but its return is just glorious!!! And I knew it would come one day, no matter the time it took
    Oh dear, I am eager to do an Idea I just got and this is going to be really fun.

    Congrats for bringing back the theme Rick!!! It will rock as always!

      If you're hyped, then I'm hyped, Manuel! I actually feel this theme might be right up your sleeve with your storytelling sets. The very title itself for this theme - the gate - is quite catchy and gives ideas for some rather cinematic additions. We'll see what people can conjure together here, but I do know a few of you are great storytellers, so I'm hoping for something along those lines from at least one or two members. No pressure however, you solve this one the way you want!

      I do think the theme event will rock the boat again! Things are getting a bit slow nowadays with the same type of images all over, so maybe this event of mine can give some new sparks to the dying fires. I know I've seen marvellous contributions before, so I'm really anxious to behold the result of this theme and a few more to come, even if it's a long way until deadline hits us....

      Long have I kept some of these shots as they did indeed express the atmosphere I wanted for this theme. Sealed and hidden away doors and gateways are mysterious for many reasons, so I feel this theme can provide a lot of creativity and splendor from the community scene. We'll see what people can figure out for this one and feel free to join in with a contribution of your own. It's quite a fun ride once you jump onboard...

    For the next weeks I‘m on vacation, but you gave us time, that I assume, it will be enough to contribute

      Dear Heike, you know you can take all the time you want before you decide to strive on with Skyrim - or not - but if I in some way can bring some joy and inspiration back to you, I'd be honoured to see you involved in the event again. I personally find this theme rather interesting as the title itself is quite ominous - it can show so much with so little! I never really planned for this theme, but it kind of developed itself once I started collecting images for other theme ideas and thus "The gate" was born...

      I'm very glad to hear you might consider a contribution and even better then you're all given a lot of time. This means you can enjoy and relax on your vacation and perhaps afterward it's still possible to open hidden doors or pass through secret gateways...

      I've missed the themes too, but I really needed the break to restore some energy. With me now being mostly active on the SE side of Skyrim, I also had to start building up some new stock material for coming theme ideas. Now I've got myself at least 3-4 new themes ready for launch and this one if the first in the comeback.
