About this image

Lilith here again, to finish her tale!

Left with no throne, her daughters changed into new Redeemed beings in the charge of the spoiled Princess Glasya, and now drifting with most of her power locked away, Lilith had time to rethink a great many things. It was possible that Limbo had changed her, or perhaps the holy magic that changed her daughters changed her too by accident. An immense hatred boiled in her heart, one beyond the years of torment she caused and received. But maybe... maybe, she thought as she calmed down, things were supposed to change.

A long time before that, she was gifted a magic wishing mirror by her King. Being fond of giving gifts herself, the standing mirror became one of her favorite possessions. But she quickly found that the spirit in the mirror was of an old succubus lady, killed by her jealous husband after being accused wrongly of being unfaithful to him, and the two became friends of sorts. However, when Lilith was away the mirror was stolen and lost for many centuries until she found it once more about 5 decades before her current fate. Finding it on the material plane with a human woman, a mayor's wife, she used her power and bond with the mirror to speak to her. She was a follower of the Heavens, but she was very kind, and that kindness even melted the displaced queen's heart. The two became magic pen pals you could say.

But this happiness wasn't to last either. The mayor's wife grew more and more beautiful and all the men made their passes. Staying faithful she was hardly aware of her changes, but her husband rotted with jealousy, and much like the mirror's husband the mayor poisoned her and locked the mirror away, and then poisoned his whole village out of mad rage and envy. For many years, the mirror was silent, sitting with nothing but a few treasures. But then, the Limbo Crisis and the evil deeds still haunting that place drew a powerful demon to it. Sensing Lilith in the mirror, the demon watched over her so that she would not escape. (Devils and demons hate each other more than the heavens, as Devils fell largely to fighting the corruption of demons.) But a holy order found and killed the demon, yet before it died, it swore in unholy magic that the mirror would not escape on its life, and so a life seal emblazoned on the doors and its spirit endured beyond reason.

Then, after five decades a wise, aging shaman found the village drawn to the uneasy spirits. Sheltaf Redrose contacted the demon and was tricked and seduced by its powers. During contact, part of her was possessed, but her wards saved her. Not allowed to leave the village and tortured every night, another powerful spirit, faint but powerful, reached out to Sheltaf the Shaman. Taking her body at night, the unknown spirit protected her, but in grisly fashion. The shaman's head would turn 180, speak in strange tongues, weep, and cry. Every day Sheltaf was trapped, every night protected only by giving herself, and then returning by expelling the spirit by blood.

But then, in hopes of finding a great treasure, a group of adventurers came into the town. Sheltaf taught them how to break the seals of the demons, and told them she saw the mirror. She only wanted freedom, and the spirit grew stronger and stronger in Sheltaf. After a tense alliance, and many strange and dark happenings, Sheltaf summoned the demon and the brave heroes killed it for good, throwing the doors to the seal chamber open and the unknown spirit devouring the demon. They approached the mirror, but only after Sheltaf sought refuge from her suffering, but the Heavens demanded she work for it, and she choose to serve the heroes.

In the chamber, the mayor's wife appeared in the mirror, explaining she was the succubus of the mirror. She took small parts of those who used it and stored them, like memories. But then, a figure of blood appeared as well and when it formed, the former Queen was free once more. Lilith, using her connection summoned herself in mortal form for the first time ever. She explained that the mirror used its powers to take just a scrap of the mayor's wife and send it away, reincarnating it. Sheltaf was that reincarnation, and Lilith protected her as the unknown spirit, saving her old friend. Perhaps, it was out of love and friendship for the kindness the mayor's wife showed.

Now free to do as she wishes, Lilith has no throne, some of her daughters are gathered just north in a city, and her powers no longer locked away, she leaves into the night. Maybe, just maybe, she has changed.....

And that's a background character lol. Thanks a ton for reading, and I look forward to posting more with her :)
