    I needed to make several changes to this mod for my game. Some because of how my game is built, and others because of how I wanted it to look. But mostly because at least in my game, I had several problems related to LOD and/or other issues, because the mod author designed it to use Ugrids=7 (or at least that is what he recommended to use). Since you can't go back to ugrids=5 once you set it to 7 - and because I wanted to keep this in my game going forward, I did what I always do... I bent the mod and the game to my will. Including moving the entrance down the river due to a conflict with White River Cottage mod.

    That said, I had a great time playing this mod! Special thanks to BlackMaid for bringing this mod to my attention long ago, in several sets with her gorgeous Elayne!

      Hello, my friend! It always makes me smile when I hear from you. As for the mod, we did have fun - they were a great crew. Although there was one odd thing: Gandalf kept asking me when I was going to find a woman, or something like that. Now... I think he was put up to it by Lady Galadriel. As powerful as she is, I think she was scared of Alex! Seriously, it could be that line was a normal line from a male follower if you are not married. But since I never had a male follower before, I have no idea!

      I hope you have a safe and fun 4th of July too!

    A set of excellent images based on Middle Earth, Mike mate. I've always resisted mods that divert away away from the original Skyrim story, but this looks very interesting and intriguing.

      Thank you! As you know well... my Skyrim left immersive in the rear view mirror a long long time ago! Alex and I enjoyed the time in Middle Earth, but we are happy to be back in Skyrim once more. Now 2 1/2 years into this playthrough... and still more new adventures to be had.

      Hi Les! This is Alex writing to you now...

      I noticed you said "Mike mate" in your comment. Since cmh's name is not Mike, I wondered if I was missing something. So I did a quick DDG search and found this in the "Urban Dictionary":

      "Mike is a person who is caring, loving, protective, kind, stubborn, hardheaded, a good listener, and hilarious. He can make you laugh and want to smack him all at once. He is good in bed, and tends to be on the wild side most days. He is an amazing best friend who would put up with even a crazy person if he considered her a friend. He is someone who will be with you through the good the bad and the bleh. He is and always will be that one person you can turn to when you have a problem."

      This certainly applies to my guy! While I won't go into details, especially about that 3rd sentence - I will say that after over 200 years with him... it is a very good description of him!

      PS. In case you think doing a search is not immersive - keep in mind that I was born in America, and used a portal to travel to Tamriel long ago, where I met cmh in Bravil. That's another story. But I am aware of technology in the "real" world, and can access it when I need to using a different type of portal. After all the years with cmh... I think life on Nirn is just as real as the "real world", if not more so.

      Umm... that may be the longest message I have ever written here. I think I am starting to take after cmh himself!

      No worries at all, my friend! I have been called many names in the past (including some by Alex), and this one was better than most! By the way, you have now become part of our weird little family - because Alex does not get motivated to write comments to most  people. My adopted daughters are now asking "Who is Uncle Les?" So welcome - and thanks for making our Sunday morning special.

    Interesting mod!  I once tried one of the LoTR mods but my old PC couldn't handle it.  Good to see you back again.

      Thanks! I am not sure how long it has been, but I hope you have recovered fully by now?

      I remember the PC I had when I first tried to run an ENB. I loaded my game and was getting 4 FPS standing still, and if I tried to move or turn around, it dropped to 2 FPS. That's when I knew I needed a real video card. That was several years ago, so things are much better these days.

      Yes I'm back almost as good as new, although covid has left one legacy, now I have difficulty in feeling warm.  Hope it sorts itself before winter comes.

    I recognize all the locations and i really hope, that this adventure was worthy all the work; you did, to play it ...

      Thanks so much! There were some amazing moments, but also a few frustrating moments. I somehow walked right past the way out of the Shire leading on to continue the main quest... several times. One of the images shows Alex by it... and I am not sure if that was when I finally discovered it... or Alex distracted me and I missed it again, and continued searching.

      I also remember you liked that outfit when I showed Alex standing by the door to the Shire, after I finished moving it to resolve the conflict with White River Cottage a few months ago. So while she had the newer BDO outfit on for a while after that, I decided to go back to this one for playing the mod. I think it worked great for various reasons, in addition to the fact it is one of my favorite custom retextured outfits I have done for her. Fully covered head to toe, but still very sexy, at least to me! I think Alex will go back to the BDO outfit when back in Skyrim, because we both miss it.

      Alex and I want to thank you once again for your inspiration from your image sets, and bringing several new mods to our attention, both outfit mods and quest mods!

    It is a fun mod to go and explore.. then there is Smaug  😁
    Alex on the throne looked very natural 🤣 keep that in mind going forward  🤣
    oh and take chocolate cuz there aint none Middle Earth

      Thanks, my friend! The background music was great in this mod too, something I am sure you appreciated. Not sure if you remember, but the Well of Souls music was awesome for a metal head like me! Especially because...

      ... when you do that part, your followers are left behind! So there I was, all of a sudden all alone with Gandalf, Alex, and Tauriel on the other side of the door. That extremely intense music kicks in as a bunch of enemies locked on to me... now that was intense!

      Also... Everybody took a turn on the Goblin King's throne, even Gandalf! Everybody but me, although I swear I shot some images of me. Oh well, Alex is the one that mattered. And yes, she does look natural that way. You may remember that from the treasure room in Azura's Dawn!.

      Damn that Gollum! Seriously, I checked again and I do have one of me standing in front of Lady Galadriel... like she was refusing to let me take a turn. I don't remember taking that one, so maybe she bewitched me. Wait... that doesn't sound like something she would do. But ya never know with elves OR with women. I need to lock this spoiler so nobody but you can open it! Or... at least have a lot of chocolate on hand for bribes... I mean gifts.
