So i came out the Inn in Riverwood only to find a dragon landing. As i begin attacking it 3 hired thugs take the opportunity to assail me. After a herioc battle against four foes (Including the dragon, which the guards refused to help me with...) i found a note on the thug leader saying he was hired by a "Brenuin". I tracked the guy to Whiterun and found him in the bar. After not even getting a dialogue option to talk to him about it i put an arrow through his skull from a hidden vantage point. As an after-thought i dragged his corpse onto the fire. Still haven't worked out what i did to get them hired.... (As another thought, how'd a beggar afford to send mercs after me?)
