As the power of the soul settled in your body, you turn to face Clarity. She was staring at the heap of dragon bones. You walk over to her and place your hand on her shoulder. You feel her flinch at your touch, almost the way a half-wild animal would, and then relax, looking down at the ground. She slowly walked towards the edge of the mountain, climbing on top of a large rock and staring downward. She turned to you, the flame in her eyes now dimmed, almost pleading. She tells you that she needs Vedinok’s soul, the soul now dwelling within you. You ask how you are supposed to give it to her. “Just wish it to be so.” She responds. You walk up to her again, and extend your hand. She stood there for a moment, pleased to see that you were the one beckoning this time, and takes hold of it. You felt the soul within you stir, as if it wanted to be released. It was as easy as letting it go, almost like an animal struggling to get free from your hands. You released it, feeling the energy flow from your body in a slow, slithering stream. The dragon soul now passed, you stepped backward as Clarity began to change. The world around you seemed to darken, but the sun was still high in the horizon, piercing the unnatural darkness. Sharp horn-like shapes grew from her head, two black shapes growing from her back. She began unbuckling her armor, as she did you saw more and more blackish scales growing on her body. Her hands formed into animal-like claws, a tail began to grow behind her. The shapes from her back unfolded into large wings, catching the air. As she changed further, she went down on her knees in pain. She did not utter a sound, only closed her eyes and clenched her teeth. The change seemed to slow for a moment, in which she sat down. She opened her eyes and peered at you. Her face was still mostly human. As the sunlight shined on her back, she smiled. “I am dovah once more.” She said.
