About this mod
This mod reworks the food and other items present on the tables and makes all the gold plates and candlesticks lootable and smeltable, adds more different food items along with adding a couple new foods unique to this mod. Some of these foods are really strong as it is supposed to be a feast for the most honored guests of a god.

Have you ever wanted to just loot all the gold stuff to become filthy rich and actually be able to eat the ox's leg for godly temporary buffs instead of selling it for a lousy 1 septim? And why the game doesn't even consider it to be food at all?
This is a mod I originally made for personal use after having been disappointed with how not-lootable and bland the food of the Hall of Valor is. Originally the gold plates and candlesticks cannot even be picked up and the food consists solely on the standard stuff one can find in almost any barrel in skyrim.
But the heroes of Sovngarde have been coming to Sovngarde for hundreds and maybe thousands of years. The Nords who lived in Atmora probably ate food and drank beverages that weren't available in Tamriel. So I added in some beverages as they might have appeared if Bethesta ever decided to make an expansion of Atmora, the ancient and original homelands of the Nords before it got completely frozen.
Some of these new beverages give temporary buffs to magic instead of stamina, as in the old days magic was not as frowned upon as it is by the Nords of today.
I replaced all the gold plates, cups and other items with versions which are lootable, sellable and smeltable. This mod includes smelting recipes so you can smelt the items into gold ingots if you wish to do so. The items are quite valuable, so you may wish to loot everything ( xD ) and get carried away by it. But fear not, you can get it all as I also added in a couple drinks which temporarily increases your maximum carry weight, giving you enough time to take all your loot home with you after you beat a certain main villain just outside the mead hall :-)
The effect will last up to 8 hours.
I placed a lot of mead in the Hall of Valor now, including Aged Nord Mead, Saarthal Snowberry Mead, Atmora Frostberry Mead, Aged Jylkurfyk Ale and special mead from Sovngarde itself which can turn even the weakest of heroes into a true carryall so you can loot the place clean if you want :P
I also made all the static barrels located in the Hall of Valor lootable and all should contain additional Mead. These barrels are unique to the Hall of Valor and none are present anywhere else in the base game, so adding in Mead in these barrels should not affect any of the other barrels located anywhere else in Skyrim.
The Roasted Ox's Leg and Roasted Ox's Head can now be eaten for very good buffs in health and stamina, but they weigh about double that of most other roasted meats. But their buffs make the extra weight well worth it :-)
If you don't like any overpowered stuff, you can still use this mod to at least make the Hall of Valor look a bit more nice :-).
----------
This mod is a rework of what is located upon the tables. It also adds some food on other places so it looks more like a real party of proud (and drunk) Germanic heroes and less like a grandparent bingo evening.
This mod also changes the barrels and will strictly have no effect on any of the barrels anywhere, xcept the barrels located inside the Hall of Valor.
This mod also includes smelting recipes for all the gold items you can now loot.
The added in items have new combinations of effects. Some of these items will have very powerful effects. I made these items this way because I like it this way. And because I think a god would want to serve his most honored guests the best he can give them :-)
This mod does not require any of the DLC. Only the base game is needed for it to work. The unofficial skyrim patch is not necessary, though it might be a good idea to (at the very least) update the base game with the latest official patch.
The mod includes 2 files: An ESP file and a BSA file.
Install by placing both these 2 files into the /data directory of your Skyrim installation. I highly advice you to use a program that manages your mods so you can have a proper load order which is very important for this mod (and other mods) to function properly.
Uninstall by deleting these 2 files. This mod should be savegame compatible.

I've been modding games for many years now, but all of these mods have been for personal use only. But I got curious to learn how it is to also upload these mods, if only because it gives me a bit of an extra challenge while I learn how to mod skyrim as I go.
Even though I use this mod for my own use as well, the upload of this mod is also to see how the whole uploading thing works and there probably is more to come, for as long as I enjoy modmaking that is :)
This is the second mod I have released now. I learned how to use the Creation Kit and had a lot of fun while doing it and while learning how all this works, using a real 3D editor.
The Hall of Valor can be a bit of a pain to work with as there are a lot of invisible objects located inside the Hall of Valor, which sometimes makes it hard to even select a single item. I sometimes had to zooml in until I literally had the object filling half my screen before I could even select it so I could move it, resize it, relocate it or duplicate or delete it. It was fun to learn how to do this all, thanks to all the people that helped me :-).
This mod is made for my own personal use and was finished about a month ago. Now I am uploading it to The Nexus.
