About this mod

A small-scale overhaul of the Enchanting skill-tree.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
This perk-tree is designed to be a small-scale overhaul of the Enchanting Tree.

The reason for this is because a lot of other Enchanting-overhauls end up including 20+ perks, where I only see any point in taking like... 5 of them. Which (combined with other perk-trees with similar problems) leads to me having a metric ton of unused perk-points, simply because I don't have anything to spend them on.

As such, this overhaul is designed to require "filler perks" (things like "Enchanter" being left untouched), as well as to make those perks also very valuable for most any build (so no "staff/scrolls does X" type of perks). It's also designed to be lightweight, with no inclusion of any scripts (mostly because I don't understand scripts, but hey, silver-lining).

Enchanting Perks:

  • Enchanter (0/20/40/60/80): New enchantments are 20/40/60/80/100% stronger.

  • Soul Squeezer (20): Soul gems provide extra magicka for recharging.
  • Soul Siphon (40): Death blows to creatures, but not people, trap 5% of the victim's soul, recharging the weapon.

  • Elemental Enchanter (30): Fire/Frost/Shock enchantments on weapons and armor are 25% stronger.
  • Insightful Enchanter (40): Skill enchantments on armor are 25% stronger.
  • Corpus Enchanter (60): Health, magicka, and stamina enchantments on armor are 25% stronger.

  • Weapon Enchanting (30): Enchantments on weapons are 25% stronger. (doesn't include staves)
  • Light Armor Enchanting (50): Enchantments on Light Armor are 25% stronger.
  • Heavy Armor Enchanting (60): Enchantments on Heavy Armor are 25% stronger.

  • Jewelry Enchanter (30/50): Enchantments on jewelry are 25/50% stronger.
  • Cloth Enchanter (50): Enchantments on clothing are 40% stronger.

  • Extra Effect (70/100): Can put two/three enchantments on the same item.
(Do note that because the only way to make Extra Effect accept "more than 2" enchantments is to use "multiply" rather than "set to", if you have another mod that changes the amount of enchantments on an item? It's possible that you'll end up with some significantly larger values of "available slots" than is intended. But that's a compatibility-issue, and shouldn't otherwise be a problem.)

Obviously, this mod also makes it "better" to wear cloth rather than armor, and the level-requirements are adjusted with this in mind. Provided that you spent the perk-point for it, the value will always be "jewelry > clothing > armor".

Also, since Soul Squeezer and Soul Siphon are completely untouched by this mod (I don't care about them enough to bother erasing/editing them), if you have another mod that effects those two perks ONLY, then it should be compatible with this mod. (Dunno what mod that would be, but there you go.)
