I am having an issue where when ever I try to load the game through Vortex it simply will not load. No menu, no messages, no error codes, simply nothing. Any ideas on how to fix this? It only happens if I have this mod enabled.
when i have it enable is says its loaded but is intended for use in an unknown game but when I install it I did hit special edition but when I have it enabled it wont launch I have no idea what version this is even for because it don't say what its for so I downloading because I downloaded it thinking its fore this special edition I have like I said it wont launch so I'm so confused
VMM keeps telling me that this mod is for a different game. Am I doing something wrong? I know I've used it before, and it seems it's supposedly up to date.
The 1st mod I have installed that I have had a problem with, except for a few CTD's with Summerset Isles... I know. I installed SKYUI after Summerset Isle and had a few more CTD's here and there after installing SKYUI. The major problem is that SKYUI bakes itself into your saves. If you unload SKYUI (that is working fine) and then load a save with it baked in, then you try to do a save... poof CTD. I tried all the usual, load order, cleaning, disable all mods add back in 1 one at a time...la la la.., nope. Saved games prior to having this enabled were not effected as long as I didn't have it enabled when I do a save. I tested this to see if it was caused by Summerset Isles, which did not effect old saves or even prior to Summerset Isles. Re-enabled SKUI, and saving works fine again. So...
You do get a save file in your save game folder, but with a 0kb .tmp file with both SKYUI and SKSE54 disabled and two files - a 4-6kb .skse file if you had SKSE enabled along with what looks like a normal .ess file of the same name. You can still load the SKSE save even if you delete the 4-6kb .skse file, but still can't save from that loaded game if you had SKYUI enabled when you did the save.
I am wondering if it is supposed to be this way? Is there a fix? You should be able to uninstall this with no repercussion to your saves. If you want to play with just vanila menus, then don't install this and save a game or you will have to start all over from a previous save if you uninstall it.
Also, if you disable SKSE64 with VortexMM, your desktop SKSE64 shortcut won't work as Vortex deletes the skse64_loader.exe and .dll files in your game directory and changes the SKSE64 file location in your shortcut to the VortexMM folder 'Vortex Mods'.
So much hassle and time just to try this menu mod. A half a day troubleshooting this. Whew!!!
HOW DO I UNINSTALL!!!!!!!! game will crash no matter what, verified game files, started a new game.. spent 6 hours trying to fix it nothing works, NO UNINSTALL TUTORIAL on the mod page, that's bad!!!!
First you need to unistall [uncheck] all the mods using this mod, then uninstall this mod.
1- uncheck this mod from the mod list. 2- right click and choose "remove mod from list". 3- check the mods folder to see if the mod is deleted. if it wasn't deleted, just delete it like a normal file.
If you'r wondering why people some calm while you want to cause ww3, its because we all feel you, we all are and have been enraged, we all hate bethesda. But just now after doing everything under the sun, my game SEEMS back to a playable state....by verifying my files, there were ten missing. I know I know, you want to throw something at the screen. I'm just trying to tell you, your anger its justified. None of this would be happening if itwasn't for bethesda and steam. Still, chances are, after a few breaths, youll be able to get it working. download, crash fixes, load game ctd fix, one tweak, verify files, fully expect to search 20 different pages, leave two angry comments on something, trip your girlfriend/boyfriend, go out side and flip off the cops, yell thug life and f the police. Eat some food, give a homeless person a few bucks, go back to your computer, settle with yourself that its game time and the damn game will work wether it likes it or not, disable and re-enable your mods, loot, tesedit to check for issues, then the next thing you know....it'll work. Roll a blunt, drink some coffee, and know that God and the gaming community are on your side and feel your pain. Don't give up, youll be able to play soon just get determined and make it happen. Much love from your gaming family. Gamer Pride!
Make sure you have SKSE installed correctly and that you are launching the game with SKSE.exe.
This version of SkyUI is for classic Skyrim. If you are modding Skyrim SE/AE, you'll need to download SkyUI
Mod Organizer 2 or Vortex are good tools for installing and uninstalling mods. Manual installation is only recommended if you really know what you are doing and have experience modding this game.
so I can't get this mod to work at all for me I have tried several patch mods and nothing is working and I know my SKSE works because the other mods that need it are fine just not SkyUI. I really have been trying to get this mod to work. If anyone can help me with this I would appreciate it very much.

Changes from last version:
Common question: I don't like the new crafting interface (or any other part of SkyUI). Can I disable it?
Yes. There's a mod called SkyUI-Away, which contains the original UI files. Extract those original menu files you want back to Data/Interface.
i try to fix it so many times but the result is always same!
i want play skyrim normaly in my free time but this (ctd) make it worse...
some mods need mcm and this mod had it :(
