This is a mod I made for fun. I've spent since August working just on this particular mod alone, and have probably spent about 100 hours easily just working on this mod and I've aimed to make it awesome! It's tailored to fit my personal needs, and also to be a bit of a similar mindset mod to my Fallout 3 mod from a few years ago. I hope you enjoy!

DESCRIPTION

Solace Antrum, or 'Solace Cave,' is a player owned home for Skyrim. The mod adds a underground home location West of Dragon Bridge on the second waterfall bed.

OVERALL:
  • 100% Navmeshed
  • Consistent Aesthetics
  • Lore Friendly
  • Companion Bedroom
  • Linked Chests
  • Follower sandbox markers

The INTERIOR of the antrum is decorated to be very aesthetically pleasing. Rooms are complemented by water fall features, a mix of cave/stone/and wooden interior styles with a hint of Dwemer, moody lighting, and a lived in feel. The interior of the Antrum is intended to be rather small, but includes all of the following:

  • > Decorated Bookcases

- Companion bedroom
  • > In a separate basement area.
  • > Several places to store companion supplies and equipment

- Forge/Smithing Room
  • > Continued off of the basement area
  • > Several storage containers to separate ore, ingots, and misc
  • > Includes a furnace and an anvil (grindstone and workbench outside)

- Bathroom
  • > Custom furniture
  • > Wash fountain
  • > Storage for misc

- Storage Room
  • > A tanning rack
  • > Numerous storage

- Main Room w/ Kitchen and Dinning room

  • > Alchemist area w/ alchemy table and TONS of storage
  • > Kitchen area w/ cooking hotspot
  • > Enchanting nook w/ storage

- Other Stuff!

  • > Sandbox idle markers
  • > (not so) Secret Room just for fun!

The EXTERIOR is aimed at creating an immersive and breath taking sight for the player to enjoy upon entering and leaving the home (sounds about right? Selling description). The exterior of the Antrum is completely decorated and fits in amazingly with the following:
  • Patio based entrance into rock side
  • Completely decorated wooden bridge over the waterfall to the home
  • Dwemer pipes venting smoke along mountain side
  • Grindstone and Workbench can be found here
  • Storage along the bridge including a linked chest that stores inside
  • Lanterns to light up the dark
  • Custom landscaped path with modified height maps and terrain

LOCATION

The Solace Antrum can be found up the north side of the riverbank to the west of Dragon Bridge. It can be spotted by a rock cairn and a noticeable path. Some way down there are lanterns, so it shouldn't be hard to spot upon passing it. It just stems off the original dirt path to the west of Dragon Bridge and actually crosses the river's waterfall.

RECOMMENDED MODS

For this mod, I would recommend the a few mods to use along side with it. I've used some of these mods for a long time, and I suggest you download them because they make a lot of things in the world of Skyrim look fantastic! You can find them below with the links provided. They are all compatible with eachother, though some texture overhauls my overlap, so you'll have to pick and choose.
