Welcome to my Haafstad mod.
This one is part of the trilogy of mods which expands the game enormously (a few Skyrim holds in total), by giving your player the possibility to venture behind the Skyrim borders. You'll meet new creatures, NPC's, ingredients, food, quests, followers, etc...
I made these mods myself, although I recieved support from various people who were happy to voiceact, helping me out with some issues I faced, giving me constructive feedback, and Jknjb in particular for making the AS-LAL Extension. I thank you all.
This work is almost finished, although it still needs a bit finetuning and some NPC's still need the right voices. You'll sure meet a few little issues, but please remember, I did this work for free. The main landscaping, quests and everything should work fine now.
Don't forget to unlock the Skyrim borders. To do this, go to your Skyrim.ini file in Documents > My Games > Skyrim. NOT the ini file in your load order where the game itself is installed. Open it, put the line: bBorderRegionsEnabled=0 , then save it and the borders in the game are disabled. After installing, save your game and restart your saved game. Otherwise you won't hear dialogues from NPC's
- Will these three border mods be merged? The answer for several reasons is: no. - The Lod textures of castle Volkivar are purple. What causes this and what to do about it? - this issue may probably be caused by your High Resolution Texture Dlc. You may generate Lod for vanilla Skyrim and its DLCs with DynoLod, and the problem goes away.
Version 17.4 is just like it's predecessors, a small update, solving a few small errors, but had to be done. I only worked on the esp file. The bsa file is the same.
BUT
I also uploaded a patch which contains armor for the Breton soldiers in my mod. I used these armor form the recourses mod " NordwarUA Mod Resource" uploaded by DanielUA. Have fun!
With Rudy ENB the place of the island are beautiful, endorsed !!!, if u want to sky rocket the immersion, try putting new armor and clothes to the residents outside of skyrim, in a more medieval style :).
This might be because I use the flora overhaul mod but... there's tall grass freaking EVERYWHERE on Kirkmore! The paths and towns are all completely overgrown! I can't even find anything in town! The forge is hidden by grass! (Talk about a fire hazard!) Is there a compatibility patch that removes grass from towns and roads?
Edit: Just realized I posted this on the legacy Skyrim modpage instead of AE. Still applies but I'll post over there too just to be sure.
I had the same issue and was able to fix it by installing this LOD replacer: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/3333 (Volkihar LOD confirmed working for my LE Oldrim install)
Seems the author was aware of this issue, and says it's because Bethesda forgot to add the texture in a certain version of Dawnguard.

Important Edit: Delete the textures you don't need! The Castle Volkihar LOD works great for me, but the formatting of others is not suitible for Oldrim
Why are the instructions different between the mod description and the read me file? Do you need both of them? I wasn't able to cross the bridge. I was able to get to haafstad through the boat but some areas were cut off like the ship for one of the quests and a couple of buildings. And I was able to get to the island through one of the boats. I'm using skse if that matters.
First, I love this Mod! I actually went ahead and downloaded all three of the additions yesterday. Since, I also use Live Another Life, I also downloaded those addons that you made available. Thank you for that, btw!.
I started a fresh character there on the Island of Kirkmore, and have thoroughly enjoyed myself as I've roamed around just discovering and adventuring.... However, I can't find a boat or ship to take me to one of the other places (like Haafstad, which is nearer to Skyrim).... help? What am I missing?
(editing to add: I also have all 3 of the Row, row, row your boat addons...... and I've learned to hate those spiders...died 5 x's before I got the hang on how to deal with them!)
a question or 3? is there any update as to how these will integrate with Beyond Skyrim, if it ever comes out? and Have you fixed the "passenger" thing, or should I just consider it an easter egg? and Do you have a project page or whatever that might list voice acting you would like?
1. I honestly don't know 2. Fixed it for a small part, consider it an easter egg if you like 3. I only do fixes and hopefully this is the last fix for this mod. I am not planning to do big changes / new voice acting / new quests
Hi I have a question for you, so I did noticed that Haafingar/Jehanna has a problem and Volkihar Castle is indeed purple. I have all three of your mods and downloaded the ones recommended. I"m trying to fix that just trying to figure out how... I don't know what DynoLod is, I never used it before!
also have the following mods, not sure if they would have anything to do with it. Falskaar, islesofvolgon, Beyond the Reach, Helgen Reborn, Wyrmstooth/ Thunderchild (with all the patches). ???
I haven't met these issues, but somebody did and used DynoLod and that solved it. This happened a few years ago though. The mods that I have which you mentioned are Wyrmstooth and Helgen Reborn.
