High quality fully redesigned textures for the Brown long Mage robes, Hood and Robes available in 2048x2048.
Installation: Simply Unzip and copy the Data folder in your Skyrim directory.

This is a texture replacer for the Brown long robes (Male and Female) featuring 2048x2048 textures for both the robes and the hood
Installation: Simply Unzip and copy the Data folder in your Skyrim directory.
The .dds files should end up into Data/textures/clothes/monk
If you have skimpy meshes installed and want to use these robes, I suggest installing either exeter's or calientes' adaptation.
Also compatible with high poli meshes (why wouldn't they be, uh?).
Overwrite if asked.

So as usual to keep lore friendly-ness I did a bit of research before starting the brown ones, found out not a single person in vanilla skyrim wears the brown ones. So I went on the nexus and Reddit and looked up what people usually use them for:
Apparently, people playing some sort of wandering wizard-things were using the brown robes, that, and if you start as a Warlock's thrall in LAL, you start the game wearing these robes.
Result: I need to make some kind of robes that look worn, ruined, acient, perhaps even dating back to the dwemer, since brown seemed to be in fashion amongst the dwarves.

Features over Vanilla

The new textures have overall improved overall visuals:
-Twice the original resolution (2k).
-Completely re-made and recoloured.
-Chains!
-General shading and 3d effects.
-Added layered effects.
-A cloth-like pattern covers the robes in order to give it a more realistic feeling.
-Re-shaded/coloured to give a worn-like feeling
-Added various ornaments and decorations.
-Remade the rope-belt
-High resolution makes the texture very hard to deform.
