Traits and Talents
is a mod that strives to make each character different from the last through player choice. Many Character creation overhauls give buffs to various things, without a single drawback. My mod is geared to give the player rewards, but each and every choice made comes with a drawback of some kind. I tried my best to make each choice balanced, and none of the debuffs are gamebreaking in any degree.

I really tried to make this mod live up to its full potential with this update. There may still be some bugs that I havn't found, but this is a HUGE improvement over what it was. If you decide to upgrade I highly recommend a new save, as many of the traits require more spells/effects than what they had before, or the trait you are using may not exist any more.

SKILLS
TaT lowers all skills to 5 and  skill rates by 20%, and then allows you to choose major and minor skills. Major skills improve skill gain by 25%, while minor skills improve skill gain by 15%. Also, each race has major and minor skills that improve skill rates by 20% and 10%, respectively.

After choosing your race, major, and minor skills, the highest a skill can possibly be is 25, with a skill rate of 120% vanilla

RACE
True race support in version 1.1! Now, each race has different starting values for health, magicka, and stamina. No race files were altered, So it should be compatible with all race modes. My changes will just stack on top of any changes other mods might make.



TRAITS
TaT also adds a trait system which strives to add new, unique traits that effect gameplay in unique ways.   Many of the traits are simple stat adjustments, such as a 20% resistance to fire, but I tried my best to give each of them context.

  • "Preparation" causes alteration and conjuration magic to last 5 times as long when cast outside of combat, but during combat mage armor and summoning spells cost 250% more. 
  • "Sweep" allows you to do sweep attacks with one handed weapons at a higher power attack cost.
  • "Ninja" Decreases armor by 8% and increases sneaking effectiveness by 5% for each slot you do not have heavy armor equipped.
  • "Spell Blade" lets you toggle between increased attack power or increased magic power, at the cost of weakening whatever is not empowered.

So far there are a total of 20 traits.

Specializations and BirthSigns
EUCC adds specialization buffs that are unique, but the buffs are only minor and offer no drawbacks. It also features basic BirthSign functionality, and will let you choose your standing stone on character creation.

COMPATIBILITY
It should be compatible with everything, except mods that strive to do the same thing. The mod is designed to automatically pull the description of the standing stones, so new standing stone mods should be integrated in with no additional patches.

Now compatible with requiem! Just make sure you let TaT know you don't want it to manage starting stats when starting a new game.
