About this mod
A version of Friendlier Taverns in the Witcher style.
Store all your gear in any Tavern and retrieve it from any Tavern.
This mod relies on "General Stores" for its storage system.

This version is no longer updated!
This is an alternative version of my standard Friendlier Taverns mod and adds interconnected storage to all the Inns as is the case in the Witcher series of games. While obviously not realistic it is incredibly practical. Store and access your gear at any Inn! A storage chest is added to every rent able room in each Tavern, plus some extra Easter Egg locations. This is made possible by the highly underrated General Stores resource and this makes it an absolute requirement, but its worth it. Installation is easy and it is unobtrusive.
This mod will allow you to travel light and access or store your gear even by category from any one of the chests, and if you have a GS enabled home you can even drop loot at any Inn and later access it from your GS chest at your home, even if your home is on Solstheim. Scroll down for a list of fine homes that are GS enabled, enjoy!
The following is the description taken from my standard Friendlier Taverns and describes the aesthetic changes to the Inns that are the same for this mod with one exception, the New Gnisis corner club in Windhelm! See full description unique to this GS version below.
Also the few Easter egg locations with storage chests are only found in this GS version!
As the name suggests this mod enhances the inside appearance of every Inn around Skyrim while staying true to lore and the original layout.
In the vanilla game most Inns were an exact copy of the same space down to every bottle placed and piece of salmon or cheese, all in the same spot in every Tavern; not only that but every Inn with a few exceptions had the same tables facing the walls with every patron showing you their backside, no more of that!
Friendlier Taverns treats each Inn individually with differing types of furniture used and items placed on the tables; all sitting positions now face into the room so you can see peoples faces or sit opposite a follower.
If you enjoy this mod please take a moment to endorse it, Thank you!
Requires Hearthfires and Dragonborn DLC!
And is dependent on General Stores!
See sticky post for changelog!
This mod also replaces my other mod "Where is the Cook" so if you use that don't use both.
MAIN FEATURES of Country Inns:
All Inns have individually placed tables of various type and food and drink placed on them as well as some decorative statics, and of course a GS chest.
All Inns now have doors on each room!
The chair in every rental room is now for the player only or you can tell your follower to use it, no more peeping toms while you sleep!
Most Inns now have an Oven to produce their fresh bread that some talk about, like for example Candleheart hall in Windhelm where I actually discovered a hidden room that was perfect to house a bakery. There is a barrel with all the basic baking ingredients by each Oven.
All the Inns now have cooking spits or cooking pots that the player can use with custom mesh storage containers nearby to stow your ingredients, a ladle is also provided for the use with "Crafting requires tools".
Each Inn has various storage containers where you can stow food or gear, they are all custom mesh containers in the form of a flower or food basket or pile of pelts and so on and are placed near the cooking station and in or near the rental room. This allows for a play style where one could live out of Inns and store your stuff everywhere, thus traveling very light.
All Navmesh has been adjusted to fit the new furnishings!
FEATURES in City Taverns:
The Inns in the major cities had only minor adjustments as follows:
Whiterun, The Bannered Mare and The Drunken Huntsman only received custom containers for food or item storage and ladles by the cooking places.
Windhelm, Candlehearth hall got a small bakery in the basement, plus custom containers by the cooking place and guestroom. The New Gnisis corner club received a complete work over: Most notably the lighting is dimmer overall and the light fixtures were changed to Dunmer style lanterns, giving the place a more Dunmer native feel; some maps as wall decoration were added of Morrowind, and Dunmer drinks and food can be bought now at the bar. A fireplace with cooking station and custom container, an extra table in the serving area and two more beds on the floors above, one with custom storage, a large table with benches on the second floor. At this point there is no bed or room rental they are just up for grabs.
There is a basement added with dirt floor and a mushroom garden, under the stairs you can find a cistern that leads to a secret tunnel exiting outside the east city walls; you can also enter the city this way! Exiting town requires jumping down into the cistern.
Markarth, The Silverblood Inn now has some tables in the serving area, custom containers in the guest room and by the cooking stations and a bread oven in one of the proprietors rooms.
Solitude, The Winking Skeever has a cooking place and custom containers by it and in the guest room; there are some decorative statics added in the main hall.
Riften, The Bee and Barb has a cooking place by the fireplace downstairs with custom container and a custom container in the guest room.
Winterhold, The Frozen Hearth has in addition to all the custom furnishings and containers an enchanter in Nelacars shop.
Bonus features:
Added custom containers and a cooking place by the fire and tanning rack at Darkwater crossing.
Added a custom container by the campfire at Shorestone.
Compatibility:
This mod is compatible with "Moonpaths to Elsweyr 9.5" by muppetpuppet.
This mod is compatible with "showers in Inns" by Jokerine.
This mod is fully compatible with "Interesting NPCs" and "Inconsequential NPCs" no patches needed.
This mod is compatible with "Ravenrock Expanded".
Should be compatible with any Town enhancing mods such as by "JKs" as all changes are confined to interior cells with two small exceptions.
This mod is not compatible with Perseids realistic room rental, as that alters the interior cells of many Inns drastically.(the light version reportedly works)
This mod is not compatible with Shezries Old Hrolden Inn as it completely changes the interior cell.
Installation:
Use NMM by clicking the green tab or download manually and extract the file with 7zip to your desktop, then drop extracted file into your Data folder; make sure meshes and textures go into their respective folders.
Future plans:
I plan on adding a custom Inn by a crossroad in the Tundra and another at Solitude near the Stables or Harbor. Possibly some other places, input welcome.
