This version just adds an optional Real Shelter patch, and changes the way the mod files are set up/installed. If you are already using Version 1.9.2, you do not need to update. If you want to use the new Real Shelter patch, you will need to update to Version 2.0 first.
This update removes the 3 separate 'versions' of the mod. Now (and for all my future houses), there will just be the main version and a Real Shelter patch. If you are not using any mods that add new weathers, or if you are using Purity/Pure Weathers, then the main file is all you need. If you are using any other type of weather mod, then you will need to use the main file and the Real Shelter patch. I know some people can't (or won't) use Real Shelter, but this way is much easier for me to deal with. Also, NLVA is getting quite popular, and I don't have the scripting skills to make a separate patch for that. With the Real Shelter patch, every weather mod will work.
I will leave the old CoT and VW versions up for anyone that wants them, but I won't be maintaining those versions any more.
This is really amazing! But - as with so many mods... I am mission some HUGE thing (at least for me): I am missing a toilet... Is there any way, that you could build one?
That would be really amazing, because the house is sooo beautifull <3...
I would like to if possible get an answer to one question. As I was mesmerized by the way you can see through the windows out from the indoors, watch all that weather dynamic and stuff.., I wonder if it's still as much immersive with the 'interior' version?
been using this for ages and love it. the COT version. thanks for all your work! it's strange tho, when i got my new beastly computer, i thought the house area would run smooth...but it's still a killer on fps lol. i wonder if occlusion planes in the yard walls and house walls would help at all? even some down in the mountain itself. i've gotten a few mods lately that added planes to whiterun and even the worldspace (in mountains and underground) that really helped w/ fps. i bet it would here too. i recently installed a raven rock town overhaul that included a large wall w/ occlusion planes. i later removed it and then realised that wall had been saving me about 12 fps. so put it back lol.
i'd try this myself but i have this mod inside a huge merge i made years ago, and while it works fine, the CK will always crash when i try to open the mod in it
There actually are occlusion planes inside all of the walls, and ( I think) some outside as well. The SE version definitely runs better, if you ever try that one.
^^there was one that added occlusion to a small part of the world around labrynthian (and a few other areasi think). called Occlusion Culling World Space. it worked well. i gained about 10fps there and tested it alot. looks like the mod was removed recently tho
and yeah Cynddal, i checked after i posted and there are planes in the walls and house. thanks. i wonder if putting some at a horizontal-ish angle at the bottom of the house would help. the drastic fps loss occurs when looking upward at the house from down around the road. i would think trees would block any blank areas
Alternatively, you could pick one of the other 9000 house mods on Nexus...I'm sure there's at least one with your preferred level of worthless garbage.
I don't know if this is still being maintained, but I'm having an issue with constant rain outside the house and a little bit indoors. It's only in two spots outside, behind the house near the big water tank, and by the tower. It continues to rain there when it's not raining anywhere else, and it's different rain than what Vivid weather causes. It only happens with the patch installed, but of course it rains inside without it so I'm not sure what to do. I use Vivid weathers and the real shelter patch, I've tried changing things around in my load order, but it's only caused by the patch so I'm not sure what to do about it. I've started a new game, and the issue persists. Any help would be really appreciated, it's the perfect house!
