About this mod

Giant snakes are large, serpentine, extremely venomous reptilian creatures of semi-aquatic life. According to Bolga's Guide to Island Beasts, these creatures occasionally eat small boats and are rarely seen on land. They wait submerged in pools of water to ambush their prey, and their venom is extremely powerful.

"What's next? Giants snakes?"- Hadvar

"Hard to find. Occasionally eat small boats. Find one swimming?
Make for land. If it catches you, it will drag you under."
Bolga gra-Bur

"Giant snakes are large, serpentine, extremely venomous reptilian creatures of semi-aquatic life. According to Bolga's Guide to Island Beasts, these creatures occasionally eat small boats and are rarely seen on land. Truly titanic giant snakes appear to have existed in the past , as it is possible to sporadically find giant skeletal remains of these enormous snakes near shipwrecks in the Sea of Ghosts in Skyrim, a place where legendary clashes between these leviathans against sailors and pirates took place according to legends.

However, the Norse in ancient times caused countless casualties in the native population of Giant Snakes, which led them to regress in their population, and even in size, since larger specimens were more easily detected, so they could be hunted and exterminated.

Currently, Giant Snakes seem to prefer to live in caves filled with fresh water, where they build their nests, far from the sea with its ruthless sailors and pirates. Very rarely you can have the misfortune of finding one outside its cave, sliding through the dark swamps of Morthal, or in the hot waters of the volcanic tundra, as it is usually in these areas that the caves where they hide and reproduce are found.

They wait submerged in pools of water to ambush their prey, and their venom is extremely powerful, making it useful for preparing poison potions.
Their nests are usually controlled by a Broodmother, protecting several young and eggs. Adults that do not have nests generally live alone or in pairs or trios, with some still persisting in sea caves, flooded by salt water. Nowadays however, really huge specimens seem to be extinct in Skyrim, or can only be found in very deep seas, if any still exist.

While Broodmothers have an intense red color, although this can vary, the rest usually appear in variants adapted to the environment in which they live, which can vary between green and a yellow-brown color. Some also nest in Blackreach, where they are usually blue in color, camouflaging themselves in the alien environment of the cave.

Although both are serpentine, and both are part of the legends of fierce battles between ships and sea monsters of the past, Giant Snakes should not be confused with Sea Serpents, which also resemble snakes, but with much more draconian features."
