About this mod

Tweaks Aringoth to be the Wood Elf he's supposed to be; to eventually go to sleep instead of crouching against a wall forever; and to have a weak invis potion on hand which you can use to get past the guard during the Goldenglow quest, if you need it. Massages three previous and conflicting patches into one ESP to save mod slots and headaches.

to save mod slots.  This is for the original Skyrim, including Legendary Edition.

In Detail

* Patches Aringoth from a High Elf to a Wood Elf, like he's supposed to be (Unofficial Patch fixed race but not appearance).
* Optionally provides a version for Ethereal Elven Overhaul to agree better with that style.
* Makes Aringoth eventually sleep (e.g., for pickpocketing) instead of crouching against a wall forever (once the Goldenglow quest starts).
* Gives him a short-term invisibility potion in inventory (which you can also pickpocket along with the keys you need), to get past the guard.
* Uses justinja91's aringothsleep package, plus garthan's DefaultSandboxEditorLocation512 wander package, so he sleeps at night and "does stuff" in the day.  These replace vanilla's TG02AringothPreQuest package, which is what had him in perpetual crouch mode.
* Preserves the corpse cleanup script added by garthand.
* Preserves the stats changes introduced by garthand to match USLeEP (USLEP, Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch) values for this NPC. If you use USkP (USP, Unofficial Skyrim Patch), you should use v1.1 of this Aringoth 3-in-1 mod instead, or his stats will change away from their vanilla values (which is pretty harmless, actually).
* Keeps the OBND (object bounds) subrecord introduced by garthand. He's a physical thing not a ghost.  He only lacked object bounds so he could crouch directly against a wall, which we don't have him do any more.

None of the original mods are auto-mergeable into the bashed patch by Wrye Bash (in my mod load, anyway), and probably not in smashed patch by Mator Smash. So this 3-in-1 is needed to not waste mod slots for no reason but doing three trivial tweaks to the same NPC. However, it will merge just fine into a combined misc. patches and tweaks ESP, via the Merge Plugins Script for TES5Edit. (I can't vouch for the stand-alone Merge Plugins application, with which I have had trouble before, though not with this in particular. ZEdit's ZMerge feature also works pretty well.)  Merging THIS mod directly into the Bashed or Smashed patch may or may not work, depending on what else is getting merged in, and in what order; at least one user has reported that it appeared to merge in okay, but the fixes were lost.  This is why I recommend merging it manually with other stuff into your own ESP of merged trivial tweaks.

If it doesn't seem to work for you, try putting it AFTER the bashed/smashed patch.  It's not uncommon for two or more mods to make changes to the same NPC record and for bashed/smashed patch to pick the changes from one that isn't the one you wanted.

Installation

This mod is compatible with both USLeEP and the old USkP, but does not require either. Doesn't require any DLCs or other mods, either (except the Ethereal
Elven Overhaul version needs EEO, of course).  INCOMPATIBLE with any of the three mods it has merged, obviously.

REMOVE any of the original mods: This includes:

* Aringoth Race Fix.esp
* Aringoth Race Fix.bsa
* SleepyAringoth.esp
* AringothInvisibility.esp

Then manually install this 3-in-1 mod, or use whatever mod manager you like.

To upgrade from 1.1, just overwrite.

Then, probably merge with Merge Plugins Script for TES5Edit, along with other minor tweaks, to save even more mod slots, as discussed above in more detail.

None of the original mods came with any redistribution or other restrictions, nor credited anyone else, so I credit: garthand, justinjah91, and 2stcenturybreakdown. I consider this merged mod to be public domain (i.e., I'm not imposing any additional restrictions of any kind, though I wouldn't mind a mention if you do something with it).
