I was always frustrated of the smithing of this game, the armors was too simple to have and the weapons too, so i decided to make a mod on that ^^.

What does it add?

Improved armor when you create the armor yourself ( now when you want to forge an armor it has a suffix named "Self made" which increase the armors rating by 25 % compared to the armors you found which are at the basic stats.
A quest will help you to know what to do, it will be active when you'll grab an imperial or stormcloak armor

  • The armors especially will need the lower version of them to forge them , here is a list:

- Hide ==> don't need an armor, this is the first armor you will create.
- Studded   ==> Need Hide.
- Leather    ==> Need Studded for the cuirass and Hide for the other parts.
- Iron          ==> Need Leather.
- Steel        ==> Need Iron.

And after the steel the armors will need the level below that you've unlocked.

  • All armors and weapons can be created by unlocking them, you can forge an hide armor by disassembling one found in the world to make a blueprint of, so you could make your own, if you don't do that you will not be able to make some, so it is your duty of smithing to unlock them all :p.
  • You can't create a leather armor with an hide armor found in the world for exemple, you will need to craft all yourself but this is not the same for the weapons, you can craft them even if you found a weapon in the world they do not have a suffix called "self made" because i think that an armor you make yourself "is fitting you" so you are more comfortable in, but a weapon does not need a personnal fitting that's why i did that.

  • Ever wanted to train yourself ?? now you can make some training parts to increase your smithing level, and you can recycle your training parts but you will loose some element, of course :D

  • You weren't born with a smithing hammer in your hand so obviously you don't know yet how to make weapons and armors.
    Now you can build weapons and armors by study them and make blueprints with some paper and charcoal, (the paper can be bought in every shop on a "table of paper") you will destoy the originals parts but at least you get the blueprints to create an infinity of them :D, each part will need some study for allowing you to create them, with all the blueprints of a category ( iron for exemple ), you could make a book which will help you in your inventory management.
