Problems with Wabbajack
There are a lot of different scenarios where Wabbajack will produce an error. I recommend re-running Wabbajack before posting anything. Wabbajack will continue where it left off so you lose no progress.
**Could not download x**:
If a mod updated and the old files got deleted, it is impossible to download them. In this case just wait till I update the Modlist.
**x is not a whitelisted download**:
This can happen when I update the modlist. Check if a new update is available and wait if there is none.
**Wabbajack could not find my game folder**:
Wabbajack will not work with a pirated version of the game. If you own the game on Steam, go back to the [Pre-Installation](#pre-installation) step.
**Windows is reporting that a virus has been detected**:
Windows 10 has started to auto quarantine the usvfs_proxy_x86.exe file from the latest version of Mod Organizer 2 saying a threat was detected . This is a known false postive confirmed by the MO2 Devs. You can fix this by adding an exemption for MO2 Folder to your Antivirus. Example for windows defender can be found
here.

I followed the install video(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b3wgXMm22WY)
I ran Wabbajack and it failed to install but downloaded all the files (750 files in the downloads folder) So I restarted wabbajack and verified the files which returned an installation Complete. However the Mods Folder only contained the downloads folder - All the mods remained zipped in the downloads folder.
Watching the video it looked like wabbajack was supposed to unzip mod organizer 2 into the mods folder so I tried doing that manually but upon running it I had to make a new instance(which wasn't required in the video) and I was left with a default profile - with only hearthfire dragonborn and dawnguard mods installed.
Looking in the Left half of mod organizer I found the downloads tab which successfully found the downloaded mods - which could then be installed one by one - and would then I assume need to be ordered properly to match the load order found at (https://app.powerbi.com/view?r=eyJrIjoiMmQ3YzRkMjEtODFhNS00NzRjLWI0YmUtZDdmYzJhMTgwNmUwIiwidCI6ImY3MTc4NmIzLTY4YzAtNDQ1NC04ZGE1LWI5N2NlZWEzMjZlNiIsImMiOjh9)
Looking at the prospect of manually installing and then sorting 600+ mods - I think I'll just play vanilla - but it some one could reply a way to force MO2 to automatically install all the mods in its downloads tab , - AND provide a download for the Auriels Dream Profile file(and how to use it )
You might be able to help the next person who encounters this problem,
for which you would have my thanks
Alternatively If you've had the same problem as me and this post has no replies,
You have my condolences.
I have issues downloading
in 9/10 cases it is point 1!
There are some usual suspects. Provide us the wabbajack log, and while you wait for a reply, check the tips below.
1. Your Skyrim is not installed in English
SkyrimVR must be installed in english. If it is not, then the modlist will not be able to download. Check readme for how to change language. When you have done so, verify the files (type !verify to see how)
2. Refresh Nexus Login
Go to the Wabbajack settings page then log out of Nexus mods and login again.Open this link to see imgage: WJ_Login.png
3. Not enough disk space
You need about 100GB of free space. Make sure you have enough.
4. Wabbajack fails to download a mod from nexus
This can happen, specially on large mods like the audio overhauls. First try to restart Wabbajack. If that fails, try to restart the PC. If it still fails, then download the mods manually, and place the files into the modlists download folder (FUS/Downloads or AD/Downloads).
5. Blocked by internet provider
Sometimes ISP's (internet service providers) can block users if they find unusual activity (like suddenly downoading tons of GB of data). This can often be bypassed by using a VPN. We are not affiliated with any VPN providers, so try one at your own discression.
6. Something is installed in the wrong folder
Windows and Anti Viruses can block things. Type !installfolders and check that you have followed these tips.
Check these paths carefully.
There are several paths that are critical for wabbajack lists to work correctly. Do not skip on these.
1. SkyrimVR install folder
NEVER install SkyrimVR in"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SkyrimVR"Instead, install SkyrimVR in a folder similar to"C:\Steam\steamapps\common\SkyrimVR" or "D:\Steam\steamapps\common\SkyrimVR"Why?Window and anti virus programs have a higher level of protection on certain folders. Installing SkyrimVR here can block the file manager we use to inject files directly into the SkyrimVR folder. If you messed this up, and you decide to move SkyrimVR folder after installing FUS, make sure to also rerun Wabbajack to update the new paths.
2. Wabbajack software folder
Make sure you are running Wabbajack from a folder location such as"C:Wabbajack\Wabbajack.exe" or"D:Wabbajack\Wabbajack.exe"If you downloaded Wabbajack and just double clicked the wabbajack.exe file, then this program is now installed and running in your"C:\users[your user name]\downloads" folder. This is a protected folder, so Windows and Antiviruses can block wabbakack from running correctly. Including issues with downloading or installing mods.
3. Modlist Install folder
Make sure you created a folder on C: or D: (or similar drives) before starting the install. We suggest the following syntax
"C:\Modlists\FUS" or"D:\Modlists\AD".This way the modlists are installed in a place where Windows or Antivirus is less troublesome. In addition, if you install multiple modlists, it's nice and organized.
My skyrimVR is installed in english in accordance with the properties->General-> Language control on Steam
I have plenty of disc space
I retried this, moving the downloaded mods to a root folder (:A for Archive)
my skyrim is installed as such (A:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\SkyrimVR)
The Auriels Dream Mods are installed as such (A:\Modlists\AD\downloads)
And WabbaJack is as such (A:\WabbaJack)
When I verify the Installation it succeeds but it still doesnt unzip things as desired.
Looking at the log it seems to run fine, finding a bunch of my games throws a warning about a pagefile size and then has its first error on a path parameter

I have all of the Parameters filled in with the bracketed values()
I have checked the non-existant files mentioned in the log (For Ex. "ElSopa HD - Grindstone SE 2K") and the ARE in the "Resource Download Location(A:\Modlists\AD\downloads)"
Since permissions might be an issue I tried running Wabbajack with admin privilege's but it told me not to.
Im not sure Where to type !installfolders but checked the paths
2, you can't mod it like the steam version
