FAQ

Who are the followers? Where do I find them?

Eris is on the second level balcony at the Bannered Mare in Whiterun.
Nessa can be found at the Frostfruit Inn in Rorikstead.
Dzarkim is by the abandoned camp, on the surface outside the Tower of Mzark.

Bacchus can be found by picking up his trail from reading the posting pinned
to the pillar next to the stairs in the Bee and Barb. Karna can be found
by talking with Lann outside the Sleeping Giant Inn in Riverwood.

Gallyn is leaning against the wall on the bridge outside Windhelm.
Sarath is sitting inside the Temple of Dibella in Markarth.
Strahg can be found at Whitewatch Tower, north of Whiterun.
Yarrick is chilling on the ground, by the Horn altar in Ustengrav.

Are there romances?

Karna does for female characters, with a focus on intimacy tied to the plot.
Nessa is a free spirit and there's opportunities for casual hook-ups.

Most of them don't, however. What began as a novelty in BioWare games
has become a pitfall of RPGs, with the expectation that character arcs
aren't really complete until players can bang them.

None of them can be married, although there might be some funny dialogue if you try.

Will there be interactions with other followers?

I've always been open for it, but it's mostly out of my hands. It's up to those authors

if they have the time/interest to do so and whether we can get things to align.

If you're a mod author though and want to collaborate, please reach out!
Eris, Nessa and Dzarkim are all on the table.

Where do I go after starting Redux?

Time needs to pass before the rest of the mod kicks off, as this gives you time to
start making an impact in the world. Once you've reached level 10, head to Solitude,
Whiterun or Windhelm and look around for a merchant to pick up the trail.

How do I change the options?

For Nessa, you received her Lucky Coin on recruiting her. This can be equipped in
your inventory to toggle whether she sandboxes, whether her armour is forced,
her essential status or summon her. Don't lose it.

Marked for Death similarly has the Beast's Heart which can be equipped to toggle healing
with magical attacks - not recommended, very OP for constant spells like Flames - whether
the death system is used or how much you heal per hit.

Can I update mid-game?

For patches, yes... hopefully there won't be any script changes which can
lead to unexpected results if they're already run. There's a reason mod authors
should test on clean saves.

If you mean install type, like you want to try a different combination, absolutely not.
While reference IDs are the same, this will probably break all kinds of things.

Is this compatible with ___?

Read the description.

Can you make a patch for ___?

No. I will try to help you workaround conflicts, but your load order is ultimately
your responsibility. There's a huge difference between a bug and a conflict.

Can I make a patch, visual replacer, translation, etc. for this?

Yes, you don't have to ask for permission.

What I'm not okay with is repurposing my characters or lines outside what
they were originally intended for, such as synth tools.
