Frequently Asked Questions

• Is this mod connected to Gore, since he also has Ravens in his story? Nope, total coincidence.
• Can I get Megara right away? Yep, as long as you know the answers to Katana's quiz when you meet for the first time.
• Can I get Shale right away? Yep, as long as you know the answers to Katana's quiz when you meet for the first time.
• I own my horse, but why are they acting like I'm stealing it? You have a mod that isn't marking the horse the way vanilla does, and in that case, I'd use a mod like Simple Claim Horse.
• Can I get rid of the quest items when Chasing the Current is complete? Yes, dump those letters from River.
• Do I need to start a new game when installing for the first time? You should be able to add this mod mid-save, BUT I do not recommend that because you will miss their comments.
• Do I need to start a new game when installing 3.0, when I have 2.0.6 or older? 200%.
• When the mod updates, can I still use the same save file? I have over 80 hours in! Yes, unless otherwise indicated. Like above.
• Where is Irin, and why did you choose that place instead of Akavir, for example? Think of Irin as just another place outside the Elder Scrolls universe. And why, because Kat and I just wanted to name a place. That's all. :)
• Why can they get summoned to most places? To consider modded setups. If you want to follow lore, don't summon them into Soul Cairn, for example. ;)
• Is Katana Asian? Mixed Asian, sure. I really just based her looks on myself.
• How'd Katana get her scar? Back in Irin, things got heated in a bar after her friend Shale riled up one of the crueler guild members (an assassin) with petty insults. That assassin's blade gave her the scar as she rushed in front of Shale.
• Why are the quest locations so far from each other? The mod's quests are not meant to be digested all at once.
• Can I make visual replacers? Of course, you can! Get that DP.
• Can I be selective about which replacers I want to use with the Raven Replacer? Sorry, I'm not providing an option for each of them, but guides are available online.
• Can I use the voices in your mod for AI? Absolutely not.
• What happens to Katana's affinity system after I complete Chasing the Current and I did things that go against her values? She will still treat you like a friend since you were there for her. 
• Why'd you get rid of the other body types? I don't want to troubleshoot potential issues with multiple body types anymore, sorry.
• Any plans for interactions? Likely not going to happen. 
• Can you please make Katana and Megara marriage candidates? Nope. They are in a relationship with each other, and not with the player.
• Can you port to insert platform here? Sorry, no! This means I'd need to strip the mod of its assets.
• Can I have/see Katana's rifle? Not by default. If you know your way around mods, you can do anything.
• Can I have Takiyo? Not by default. If you know your way around mods, you can do anything.
• How come Katana does not want to trade and stuff? Check out this document on affinity.
• I'm stuck, for some reason. Help? If Skyrim decided to act funny, please check the other articles for setstage console commands. Also, be mindful about hitting the button to advance dialogue too fast. Doing so may cause scripts to break, for anything Skyrim-related.
