NEW ORomance Plus FAQs:
>It says my ostim version is out of date!
you're most likely using Ostim Standalone, Vortex/LOOT, an older ostim mod that hasn't been updated yet, and/or a weak CPU but a ton of scripted mods.
All ORomance Plus is doing is checking the API Ver of Ostim Standalone, and the reason it's saying you're out of date is because it most likely is returning a 0 (meaning something during the initialization or installation got seriously screwed up). Double check your dependencies, your mod contents load order, your plugin order, if there's any dirty loose files Vortex put in the skyrim root data dir, if you're on certain problematic older mods that haven't been updated for Ostim SA.
>Do I need to keep the ORomance ESP enabled?
Yes.
>My gf/bf/spouse keeps breaking up with me!
This is the cheating mechanic as described in the mod description page. Depending on a NPC's monogamy stat, they will not tolerate you cheating on them if they catch you. Either lower the NPC's monogamy stat to lower than 15 via the stat editor plus mod, or progress the game long enough to where you are granted the "Harem charm" perk which makes NPCs ignore you cheating.
>I can't marry someone!
They are probably married already and/or you don't have your vanilla (not a newly added version of it by a mod) amulet of mara equipped.
>What should I do in regards to Custom Followers and Marriage?
If the custom follower uses the vanilla marriage system, it'll still work in Oromance plus as long as it's the 1st spouse you marry, since that's just the vanilla marriage quest which I did not alter. For anything onward, the custom follower can still be married as the 2nd or onward spouse through Oromance plus, but you won't hear any of the added dialogue from that custom follower mod, Oromance will substitute in with silent gestures. In this situation, the custom follower most likely needs a patch. I've already offered a patch for the mod Maven Elenwen Ingun - M.E.I., which allows Maven and Elenwen to be married as the secondary and onward spouse in the Official ORomance Plus Patch Hub at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community
For custom followers that have its own separate unique marriage quest, I recommend you do those. An example would be like the popular Sofia follower mod. Keep in mind though, for a lot of custom followers, they will not offer their unique marriage quest if you already married. You might need a patch like this: Lyssia Marriage Blind Patch at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community where they can still offer their marriage quest if you already are married.
>My game is crashing for xyz reason at xyz time!
ORomance Plus is quite stable, it normally would not introduce any CTDs since the mod system only runs upon interaction with the UI on the NPC.
Most likely this is a missing dependency (re-read the mod description page installation instructions), or a wrong version of a dependency installed for your skyrim version, or you're playing a downgraded version of Skyrim and not running Backported Extended ESL Support at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community.
>The interact key (default - K), accept key, arrow keys to open/navigate the the UI isn't working!
You may have a keybind conflict from either the base game where you set something to K already (this is specifically for the interact key, im using as an example), or another mod is utilizing the 'K' key (i.e. wheeler, beastiary).
The best solution for a keybind conflict is to temporarily map the keybinds for the 2+ conflicting mods to different things, save the game, exit, reload, then assign ORomance Plus or the conflicting mod's keybind to what you prefer.
Sometimes people have had issues where if they have a controller plugged in, the 'E' key (accept key) isn't working, but it redirects to the 'A' button on your controller. You might need the controller autoinput mod to separate the keybinds with the controller keys, or unplug your controller.
>The MCM Menu isn't showing up/ the UI is messed up!
Here are some of the solutions I've seen for this problem, always caused by a user error during installation or with their own mod lists:
-not running Backported Extended ESL Support at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community on a downgraded version of Skyrim
-Didn't follow installation instructions and read mod description pages, and thought 'Ostim Romance' was the same as 'ORomance'
-Dont understand mod load order and have a conflict (the plugin order on the right and the mod order in the left are two different things and are both IMPORTANT)
-mcm limit of 150, use menu maid 2 to get around this
-no dependencies like papyrusutil or skyui script files
-not enabling the esp(s) in your mod manager
-giant mod list and running into an actual esp limit
-try using MCM helper or ncl_mcm or both
-use the console command to force register MCM
-it might actually be a save corruption issue if the UI is all scrunched up - unfortunately reloading saves in-game can mess up script variables, someone has reported that moving the Iwantwidget ESL around can also cause potential issues
>I can't see any of the widgets/UI/icons!
Look at the images in the Installation section on the mod description page, and see what you did wrong. Most people absent-mindedly disable the original ORomance mod entirely when it's clearly listed multiple times (In capital colored font too) that it is still mandatory. that is 99% why most people have this issue.
If you're running other UI mods, it could be a conflict. Immersive HUD for example hides the UI, this is mapped to a keybind.
>What makes a NPC a prostitute?
ServerInnFaction, Beggar faction, and Priestesses of Dibella faction.
FavorJobsBeggarFaction
MarkarthTempleofDibellaFaction
you can add these factions to convert a npc to a prostitute, and vice-versa.
>It says ORomance requires the OSA.esm and I'm using Ostim Standalone!
The newer versions of ORomance Plus now has an ORomance esp plugin that has the OSA master removed. You done goofed and didn't read instructions, don't know how to use your mod manager, and don't have it overwriting the original ORomance in the load order.
>Kissing doesn't work!
You need the correct ostim patch and an animations mod, and to run Nemesis/Pandora/FNIS to generate the animation files.
>Nothing happens when I propose marriage someone for the first time!
The 1st spouse you marry is still utilizing the vanilla marriage system, I've changed nothing to it. this is by design for maximum compatibility.
What this means is all the limitations for vanilla marriage is here, so what is happening is you're proposing to a NPC that normally does not have their voicetype (e.g. Serana, Delphine, etc.) supported by the vanilla marriage system. It's recommended to marry a vanilla supported NPC for your 1st spouse, or use other mods that add other voice types into the vanilla romance system (i.e. Maven Elewen Ingun spouse, Relationship Dialogue Overhaul Lite that adds the khajit voicetypes - both of these mods have ORomance Plus patches in the ORomance Plus Official Patch Hub).
Any subsequent marriages will use my new ORomance Plus multi-marriage system which has universal support for all voice type NPCs(mods included), and even some new voiced lines for Serana and Frea!
>The Multi marriage quest/system isn't working/failed!
This is probably indicative of some sort of conflict. You might be using another marriage/relationship overhaul mods together and aren't compatible. If you just plopped this mod onto your existing vortex/wabbajack collection, this can happen.
Don't use ostim romance with this mod (ORomance Plus), make sure you have the plugins actually enabled, and you followed the instructions for installations and have all the requirements.
You can also use xedit to check for conflicting records and use Mod Organizer 2 as your mod manager to check for conflicts with script files.
Posting it here a second time for people who didn't read the mod description:
OLD FAQ
>Menus are taking a while to load? I have an older CPU
Menus are cached the first time you open them, so they will be snappier on subsequent uses. Additionally, this cache has to be loaded up when you reload a save, so upon starting a ORomance dialogue for the first time after loading a save, there will be a brief pause while the cache is fetched.
>Is this compatible with FG?
Technically, yes. However since the mods do the same thing, you should select one or the other for the best and most immersive, balanced experience.
If you're caught on FG-dependent mods, many of them have OStim ports. Check the OStim page for a list of known ports
>Will this play Sexlab animations? Will this play FG animations?
No
>Will sex from other sex animation frameworks affect my relationship with the npc at all?
No, it will be like it never happened
>Is this script heavy? Surely this is script heavy??
No, scripts don't run at all unless a ORomance menu is open or an OStim scene is running thanks to some tricky math and modern tech.
>I can't seduce ANYONE
You're either low level or you're mid-level and just going up to random NPCs and hitting Try to Seduce without them knowing you at all
>Does this contain NPC on NPC interactions?
Not many, that will be a separate mod
>ESL?
No, don't ESL-flag this mod
>Can I install this mid-game?
Yes. Note however, that when you do that your player charisma value will not be starting at 0, so depending on how far into a playthrough you are, you will be skipping over the "hard" parts. As long as your speech is under 50, you probably won't notice a difference though.
>Why use a custom UI instead of the vanilla dialogue system?
Vanilla dialogue is very slow to navigate, and annoying to program with. ORomance's UI also allows other features like small popups on failure/success. Vanilla dialogue is also prone to clutter. Additionally, NPCs still speak lines in the UI occasionally, so I'm overall quite pleased with how it turned out compared to how it would have looked and felt with the vanilla dialogue system.
>Using the menu has some latency
ORomance is tested to be snappy on a fairly script heavy setup with an older cpu. However, like with many UI mods, framerates under 60 can induce some noticeable latency. Keeping your FPS high on heavy setups is always recommended, not because it looks better, but to keep the script engine running properly under heavy load (script processing is tied to framerate so low framerates have a compounding effect on script lag).
> After I have sex with my partner they accuse me of cheating
This happens if you do a clean update procedure on OStim without removing ORomance alongside it. Just do a clean reinstall procedure on ORomance. Your progress will be saved. Next time you update OStim, make sure the addons are unchecked when you do it

Seriously, I hate having to tell them to wait somewhere while I get my bell rung. They should be sandboxing but they don't and don't recognize hey this is not some pervert moment for you all to watch.
I kinda wish this mod using the vanilla dialogues system.
It would paired really good with that NPCs dialogues idles animations or whatever it is, couldnt remember the name.
Currently using OStim Standalone 7.1d, Amorous Adventures for Ostim 3.4.0.3 Beta, Amorous Adventures for Ostim Standalone 2.3.1 aka Amorous Adventures for OStim - OpenSex Patch, Open Animations Romance and Erotica for OStim Standalone 1.44.
I have been using Oromance Plus on Ostim SA for a month or so without issue, then I install some new animation packs which were not working, I made a mess, uninstalled Ostim SA, reinstalled it etc Now everything works fine but Oromance plus won't start an Ostim scene. Not sex, not kiss, not prostitution. Nada. Uninstalled it and reinstalled it (Uninstalled Open Animations patch, the oromance plus and oromance stat editors and then oromance plus and oromance in this order. Reinstalled everything in the opposite order starting with Oromance).
How can I start toubleshooting this? I'm using nexus.
