Chamber of the Ancestors-
There are no keys in this room, and you will never be required to go back to it from here on out. Enter the complex from the building all the way to the left and back from where you walk in - Ruined barracks
BOOKS: three, one on the altar in the center of the entrance to the village area with the light beam shining down on it, another in one of the ruined houses to the right of that facing the chapel, and one more on a small platform with a pillar in the square of that same area. The first note from verenim is also sitting on the testament when you first walk in, at the foot of the statue directly across the bridge. Just some introductory context.
Ruined Barracks-
This room is simple, to set an example of how things will be going forward. Kill the Miner and proceed to the second room on the left from the entrance. On a bookshelf to your right next to a bunch of misc items is the Ruins key, that will unlock the first door on the left from where you entered the room. Grab the Mausoleum Key in that room (next to the book, on the table), and head to the last door on the right, from the entrance to the room. Enter the Mausoleum.
Mausoleum-
GEM DOOR 1
You enter an old crypt of the elves. To your left, one of the crazed miners stands over the corpse of some poor adventurer across the bridge. The adventurer has a gem in his inventory - The Sanguine Amethyst. It unlocks the first Gem Door he so nearly discovered - activate the Sanguine Ornament and proceed into the sealed crypt. Periplous Imperium V1 is on a table, just before the door to the Crypt.
BOOKS: "Haesten's Journal" "Periplous Imperium v1"
LOOT: Sanguine Amethyst
Sealed Crypt-
Inside you find a sealed away falmer dragon priest. There had to be at least one turncoat, right? two chests, and an old elven sword in a chest in one of the alcove areas, on the ground. There are no keys in this room, and there never will be behind a Gem Door. Only Loot. Proceed back out into the Mausoleum.
LOOT:"Cloudrend"
Mausoleum-
Dont forget to grab the Amethyst back from the ornament. Proceed back across the bridge and enter the Vestibule.
Vestibule-
This room is merely a foyer of sorts and does not contain anything of interest. Proceed down the hall - ignore the door to the Sundered Bastion, for now. You need to grab a key inside the cloister, just up the stairs.
Shadelight Cloister-
Proceed down the stairs. There is a calcite bottle collectible in the first room on your right. It's just a collectible and doesn't do anything. go down the stairs, and go down the hallway with two doors, directly across the main chamber. Enter the first room on the right - inside the booth, the Bastion Key sits on a small ledge. Grab it, and go back to the Sundered Bastion you walked by earlier.

Proceed up the stairs and dispatch the Miners. From the top of the stairs facing the throne, go right. There will be a door with another khajit miner on the other side just to the right, inside a room with a forge. Enter that room, and on the righthand wall upon entering, is a small lever about waist high. Pull it. Proceed back out and go all the way across the room, passing the throne. Passed the old nord table, on your right, is a gated off room. On your left, a planter by the edge. Ahead a small room is behind a door - unlocked with the Bastion Key - proceed into that room with the fireplace and Pull the lever on the ground. While you're in here, pick up the Garnet Feathers on the chopping block in front of the fire. A third lever is by the throne, to the right of it on a small ledge. All three should be pulled, and the gate will be open. You will also find an alchemists room in the Sundered Bastion - On a shelf in that room is a Jasper bottle collectible. Before you proceed through the newly opened passage, go back to where you found the lever behind the barrels, and go through the nordic door that leads to the Shadelight Breezeway.

From the entrance coming from the Mausoleum, proceed into the locked room immediately in front of you. Grab the Cloister Key on a chopping block to your left, and use the Eye of Auri- El to open the Gem door. Proceed into the Crystal Cave.
Crystal Cave-
You appear to have found where the Elves got all those fancy crystals. Deal with the Falmer. On the table to the right inside the main chamber is V2 of periplous imperium.
Go up the ramp and enter the cave - on a crystal plinth is Varlafang. Go back to the Cloister.

GEM DOOR 3
From the entrance proceed down the left path. At the library, proceed left down the hall passed the meridia statue. At the end stands one of the Hag priestesses. She holds the key to the Maw. In front of her are the Annals of Shadelight Coven on the table. Proceed back down the hallway and enter one of the double doors in the center of the room. Inside is two more Hags and the door to the Maw. Exit this room and go down the hallway immediately to your left. Go all the way down - there is a wooden chest at the end under some hanging lanterns. As you walk down the hallway, look on the ground to your left by the candles - on a plate behind one of the clusters is the Eldergleam Amber that will open the third gem door. There is some extra reading material in the library, a Quartz Bottle collectable is near the library area. and the last Hag is down the other hallway adjacent to the one with the amber, standing near the deceased captive. From here go down the hallway adjacent to the hall with the beds in it, open the gem door and enter the Elven Labyrinth. If you get the Ocarina reference in here, you're a real G.

The Elven Labyrinth-
Hmm...It's awful quiet in here. Seems like bait (because it is). Proceed into the threatening mists and get ambushed by multiple whispmothers - at the back end of the room somewhere, is Bleaksabre. It's in a little crate about waist high. There are also a couple elven chests scattered around the labyrinth. Have fun in hell!
Periplous V3 is on the bench in front of the Maze.
Head back out, grab the Amber from the Ornament, and proceed into the Maw from the Abbey.
BOOKS: "Periplous Imperium v3"
LOOT: "Bleaksabre"
The Scuttling Maw-
There is a note from Verenim to someone he is expecting immediately on the right by the lantern from where you walk in. Otherwise There is nothing to grab here. The fall is a little finicky. I probably should have designed this differently, but here we are. If you're having trouble with this, you have to manipulate your character while youre falling and aim for the center. Stay directly in the center of the passage. If you REALLY can't manage it, open the console and enter ''coc pitsornamentsea'' in the console without the quotes and press enter. If you've gotten this far you have all the keys needed to proceed forward.

The Ornament Sea-
GEM DOOR 4
Immediately next to you when you fall down is a large pile of objects which appeared to have also made the trip down. Swimming towards it, find the small entrance on the waterline. Just inside to the left is the Amethyst Bottle Collectable on a chair next to a skull. You will walk in a few feet and find stairs leading to the right. Go to the top of them - if you go to the left a little, there are the Sapphire Feathers on a dwarven shelf. Stop and go back a few paces to the stairs. look to the ground just to the right of the stairs - there is a mast leading out over the water. walk out on it and turn around. Hope across the pillars going back the direction you just came from and enter the hidden room in the trash pile. this jump can be finnicky. It may help to stand on the mast and jump on the pillar with the moss on it from there. On a table to the right next to two safes is the Nymph Resin. jump back out on the pillars, and look right towards the dwarven stone with a skeleton on it. Jump there. go up the ramp to the top of the pile. On top of the pile, proceed to the small camp on the other end and check the table for the Ornament key.
In this cell is also the Effervescent Emerald, right out in the open, guarded by three more locked gates in one of the ruined buildings. You know what to do - find the three levers. From the locked gates facing the emerald, turn around and walk down the ruined hall. On the ground to the left, still inside the ruined little hall, is the first lever. From here, you must find your way to the Ornament Sea Topmast. You can either jump on the stone steps jutting out of the wall behind the Reliquary, towards the waterfall with all the nymphs standing around, or go through the Locker to the Root Tunnel. Proceed through the tunnel to the Bone Passage. There are two sections of bones to walk through. Once you reach the Topmast, immediately outside the door, on the ground towards the ledge, is the second lever. the third lever is in the trash pile where you got the Nymph Crystal, Sapphire Feathers, and Ornament Key. Starting from the waterline entrance to the trash pile, proceed up the stairs, go to the left, go down the stairs under the platform with the skeleton on it, and pull the last lever on the ground. The Effervescent Emerald is now open to you, and you may proceed through the Fourth Gem Door out by the Sea Nymphs, to the right, just outside the bay. There is a gem well with a light shining from it and elven ruins surrounding it. Once you active the Ornament, proceed through the ruins (grab V4 of Periplous Imperium on the table inside the ruins) and enter the Ornament Cave.
Ornament Cave-
Grab the Aegis of the Deep, ponder some orbs, and head on out.
The Ornament Sea-
There's still more you can get - swim out into the waters of the bay and enter the Pharos of Trinimac. At its top, inside the Lantern Room is the Abalone Bottle collectable. The Hope of the Falmer is just outside on the Aerie, along with an ancient chest. At the foot of the ladder that leads to the lantern room, at the top of the stairs inside the Pharos, is the Daedric Soul Gem. its inside the sconce in the center of the small room. From here, you need to get into the reliquary and deal with captain calico. Youll have to proceed back into the water, exactly where you originally entered the Ornament Sea from. If you look out to the sea, to your left will be a waterfall with a statue of a face just barely peaking out. Swim up to that....and enter the Grotto.
BOOKS: "Periplous Imperium v4"

Grotto-
Enter the room - The only door you can enter is the one on the right, unlocked with the Ornament Key. Ignore the three ornaments for now - you wont have all three till right near the end. Go through the door on your left back out to the Ornament Sea.
Ornament Sea-
Just in front of the door atop the ruins, a small hole between the grating is visible. Drop a worthless object down into it, or knock the rum bottle down, and the pressure plate will open. If you for some reason dropped your main weapon down there, you can pick it up through the grate down below. From here, drop down and enter the ruins with another grate and pressure stone visible, right across the gated off door. This is passed the pirate camp and to the left a bit, just behind the door to the Oubliette. There is another face statue above it- The gate should be open, walk up to it to press it (You may have to bump into it a few times) and the gate to the reliquary should open just outside.
The Reliquary-
GEM DOOR 5
Enter this room and duel Captain Calico - be warned, he is dangerous. Take the Bridge key on his person. From here, you can go upstairs and out the door to the fifth gem door, unlocked with the Daedric Soul Gem. In here is all the loot this particular band of pirates have been stashing. Maybe this realm has served as the treasure stash of pirates and thieves and wizards since time began? In the group of cupboards on the ground floor is the Emerald Bottle. From here, go to the top of the Reliquary and exit, going along the high ledge to the Akaviri Hanging Gardens.
BOOKS: "Fragments of the White Records"
LOOT:"Endeavor," Emerald Bottle, Crystal Urn, A bunch of Gold Treasures
Akaviri Hanging Gardens-
Proceed through the Hanging Gardens, unlocked with the Daedric Soul Gem. At the top is the Ornament Sword, flanked by two ancient chests. From here, You've seen everything there is to see (except what is behind the triple gem door inside the grotto, of course. We still need two more gems for that). Proceed back out to the Ornament Sea and go back to the small Bay of Refuse from which you dropped in - You will find a ruined ship and a green light emanating from within. Swim over to find a door to the Locker. Enter this door.
BOOKS: "Periplous Imperium v5"
LOOT: "Ornament Sword"
The Locker-
Fight the Hoplite directly inside. The door to the source is unlocked, but you cant do anything in there yet - you'll come back here later. Go up the stairs and navigate your way up the tower - If you've ever played donkey kong country, this room is inspired by the interior ship levels. about half way up, youll find the entrance to The Bridge across a hall on your left, just after one of the ramps leading up to the next level. At the top of the Locker, is a chest containing the Amethyst Feathers. Go back down and enter the Bridge.
Note: There is also a sizeable treasure stash in here. enter the first floor up from the ground floor of the locker - go AROUND the next stairs, and find the chest overhanging the area where the nymph was, with the barrel-door to your right. Jump on top of the big barrel, hug the wall and jump across the crates and barrels - keep finding the way up, and youll find a chest packed with gems and gold.
Amethyst Feathers
The Bridge-
before you go up the stairs, jump in the water by the tree and swim directly forward from where you walk in. An alcove will be at the back end underwater, where you can surface in a small space. Grab the Rubilene Heart on a plate. Head back out and go up the stairs and into the main chamber to fight two Hoplights, A Navarch, and a Lurker. Be sure to take the Source Key from the Navarch. Go back through the Locker and enter The Source, at the bottom.
LOOT: Rubilene Heart
The Source-
You appear to have found the heart of the island. Proceed down the walkway, and enter the door on the left, next to the bridge leading to the wheel, which is locked. Enter the Ornament Vale.
Ornament Vale-
There is nothing in here of value (there are a few chests hidden around) accepting the Emerald Feathers. Proceed to the left from where you entered, and go off the path a bit to the Ruins - NOT the church looking building with the dome, the open air ruins outside. Around the corner to the left of where you enter those ruins, are the Emerald Feathers on a cooking stone. From here, go back out and up the stairs. Inside the Vale Ruins, is a small chamber with a note detailing the last days of the Ornament Elves civilization inside the Ornament Sea, and their eventual flight back to Nirn. The exact reasons are left vague. It was not the Nymphs, they came from Nirn through the portal. Enter Tang Mo, Akavir - The Forbidden Isle
LOOT: Emerald Feathers
Tang Mo - The Forbidden Isle-
It isn't clear who built the gate, perhaps it was the Tang Mo that once inhabited the island. Perhaps they were displaced by the Sea Nymph tribes? The Tsaesci also appear to have been present on the island, more recently. Finally, the remnants of the Ornament Elves' colony are visible everywhere. You need to touch three monkey statues to proceed into the Temple, clearly visible down below. (Beware - the statues function as levers, touching them twice will raise the gate).
Proceed off the mountain ledge, down the narrow path to the jungle below. To your right, is a spiral of hedges (The meaning of the nymph rock paintings is now clear). At its center is a platform you must activate. Just next to this spiral, you will find the 'white garden', a fountain surrounded by white trees. Fight the Nymph Gardeners, and walk up to the fenceline. Go along it to the right, to find a monkey statue with a hanging pullchain. Pull it to activate the platform in the center of the hedge spiral. Proceed into the hedge spiral, use the platform to go on top of the bridges, and enter the other hedge spiral just across. A Nymph inside will start throwing fireballs at you. At one end of the spiral is a monkey statue. Touch it and fire will shoot from its mouth. On the ride side of the statue is a pullchain, that will allow you to leave.
Go back out into the main area, with the well surrounded by stone. Enter the hedged-off garden area just next to it. You must work your way through the hedges here to find a building with a nymph inside, working at a tanning rack station. Once you find your way inside, fight the nymph and exit one of the doors. Proceed up the stairs to the Pink Garden. at its end is another Monkey Statue.
From here, head back out to the central well. Go down the hill, to where the waterfalls gather in a small pond. You can use the fairy fountain to regenerate. Cross the bridge over the chasm, towards the temple plains. Standing in the center of the plains, a group of Tipis are visible. Ignore it. There is a larger, lone Tipi to the left, at the base of the mountains. Head there, and fight the two navarchs. At the back end behind the fireplace is the Tang Mo key. This will unlock the ruins at the base of the mountain, back in the main jungle area.
Just outside the Big Tipi, there is a waterfall. If you jump in the water, there is a cenote cavern you can swim through to obtain a unique sword, "nymphrune".
Proceed back out on the plains and cross the bridge. Go up to the well, and pass it, moving towards the mountain. Enter the Ruins - near the top, inside, is the Black Flower Katana. Go all the way to the top of the ruins, past the big spider, and exit. Out on the patio, there is a table with a plate on it and a skull. To the left, on the ground, is Peryite's Pearl. From here, enter the other door that was to the left of the exit from the Tang Mo Ruins. You will emerge on a mountain shelf - go down the stairs, and to your right, is the third monkey statue. Touch the monkey. From here you can use the ladder to go back down to the jungle floor, and cross the Isle to the Lost Temple. Dont enter the temple just yet - go around the back, and you will find a Tsaesci grave. just to the right of it is the Jade of Jephre.
Enter the Lost Temple.
Akaviri armor lay on the table in front of the statue. But dont forget the Ruby Feathers, laying on a small table to the right. use the sliding door in the corner to enter yet another player home, Temple Sanctuary. There is a balcony. Exit outside, and on the balcony railing, just to the right, is a key box containing the Wheel Key. From here, you must backtrack back through the Ornament Vale, to the Source Chamber.

The door leading across the bridge will now be unlocked with the Wheel Key. Turn the Wheel, and the island itself will allow you to pass through the gated off door, directly across the entrance to the room from the Locker. To your right is the Jade ornament - use the Jade of Jephre you obtained earlier, and this time, feel free to grab it as you walk through the gate, letting it trap you inside with the door. You wont need to come back this way.
Mushtop Loft-
You've found the way to Mushtop Loft - Before you enter, go down to the right of the house - Periplous v6 is sitting on the chair under the gazebo. Proceed down stairs, and through the back door to obtain the Star of Magnus. There is also an enchanted quill inside the house on the desk upstairs. After you grab the mace, head back out to the Ornament Sea. If you left the Jade inside the ornament, you may want to go get that. If not, Head back to the boat where the door to the Mushroom walkway is, on the boat - and walk up the stairs next to the door. Careful not to fall in the water, or youll have to go all the way back through the source and locker to get to this point. Standing on the mast, turn to your right, facing the boat with the Elven statue over it and the grate on its left side- Use Whirlwind sprint to jettison yourself out to the boat. In there, there is only one unlocked door to the left. Take it to the Brooding Steep - keep going through the Howling Stones, to the Wailing Aerie. By the purple fire altar, there is a switch. The way to the Abyssal Pens back on the Gibbeting Void will be open. Proceed to the Gibbeting Void, and enter the newly unlocked door. Fight the Shade host. Around them is the lever on the ground, to the left, by the cage at the back of the room. the way forward to the World Garden will be open, back on the Gibbeting Void.
LOOT: Diamond Feathers
World Garden-
You seem to have reached some kind of Nexus world within Oblivion, and countless realms sprout forth from gestating globules all around you. You can jump right back into the Ornament Sea if you missed a key (Or to access the triple Gem Door inside the grotto!) or you can proceed to the locked door on the left (you need the boss key for this, obtained by the Wheel in the source) which will take you to a large onion shaped structure. It appears the residents of Shadelight had made it safely here, and their descendants are somewhere off in one of the countless worlds in front of you, beyond reach or care. Perhaps the world containing the city was in fact founded by the survivors of shadelight? We'll never know. Enter the Crows Nest to deal with the devious wizard Verenim. But real quick, we're gonna pretend you jumped back into the Ornament Sea to find out whats behind the Last Gem Door. Lucky for you, the entire Ornament Sea seems to be hanging from the tree right there up the crystal path. See what I did there? Ornament-ception. Everything's an ornament, you're an ornament. always has been.
Brood Chamber-
"Hope i'm not interrupting" you say, seconds before getting chopped in half and thrown on a grill. It appears this is an invite-only fire ceremony - and big momma is not pleased. No snoo snoo for you. Fight the Brood Mother and her cadre of guards for the Akaviri Wind Blade, The Daedric Opal, the Water Talisman, and Some Loot. There is a dibella statue and an ancient chest behind the large elven statue in the center of the room. From here, you'll have to backtrack all the way to the world garden. I know, it sucks.
