I have been unsuccessful at getting an export to .nif also from Blender. I usually use the same workflow as JLtheMad and export to OBJ then bring into Outfit Studio or into NifSkope.
I saw somewhere there was a new addon built with NIF functionality but have not tried it yet.
i tried as obj but when i import to nif as collision, nifskope crashes ... as i did with MY collision treating it as normal meshes and then converting it to nifskope it works but partially, since only when i drop the weapon , skyrim crashes
Didn't even know there was an working version for 2.80+. I've had all kinds of issues with NifTools in the past, I prefer to work without it. I'm afraid I can't help you with your problem, but I can give you a run down of a workflow that works for me:
I use blender to do the meshes and uv's, then export an obj/fbx.
Then I use Outfit Studio to import the file and re-export it to nif. If the file is an obj, but there is an armature involved, I do the weight painting on OS as well.
Lastly, I set up all the proprieties and extra data on NifScope. You can do the bounding Box there as well. I often scavenge this kind of stuff from another file, and adjust it as needed.
thanks for the tip I will keep it in consideration, but even if I have outfitstudio I have never used it yet (I will do it when I install all the mods to play) but I did not know it could also be used for weapons ...
in the meantime instead of putting physics I entered a material and I managed to export it and in nifskope I created from it going to havok> convexshape and as you said the settings made in nifskope, now it seems that the collision is there, it remains to be tested in-game

Good Luck!
