Genuinely most of the things you make are interesting. Your stuff is always of incredibly high detail and you're an incredibly humble and helpful dude. Thanks for all the work you do :)

I'll definitely rather take that than "an evil dude who gives a toss about anyone" so thanks for your kind words, means a lot :)

And you're certainly welcome, just glad to hear you've been enjoying my work.

Yes please! I was just thinking yesterday that I wasn't happy with how my stonewalls looked, and I couldn't find any that seemed quite right. Would this include the stonewall terraces too? I hope so :)

ps I recently visited castle ruins that were constructed around year 1000 that were built with mortar, so I’m thinking the Nords would probably have mortar figured out!

No terraces at least yet, I'm afraid. I haven't really looked at them except when strolling by but they seem to be much larger assets so the technique I employed here won't work or the polycount will explode.

And you're right about the mortar, it does seem to be a very old invention actually. There was recently a newspaper article about how ancient Romans figured how to make super durable mortar by mixing volcanic ash with limestone and sea water, hence why many of their constructions still exist even today.

Dude, from all of the work you do with Embers XD and Water for ENB, I'm shocked you have any amount of time to do anything else, much less say "completing it won't take too much work" lol. Your mods are top notch quality and always welcome! This looks great!

Hah thanks, I guess that must mean that there are not enough bugs anymore in my other mods... which is kind of a surprise too.

Thanks! Completing wouldn't be too much work now but I started second guessing, mainly because I'm not sure it's completely vanilla friendly. These sorts of walls are built with mortar and there are no exactly similar ones in the game... But then again they must have known how to mix some kind of cement since they did manage to build all those heavy structures like castles.

Or then again, maybe I'm thinking too much :)

I think it is quite possible for the people of Skyrim to invent and use a thing like mortar seeing as they already have more than basic building and technical skills. The simplest mortar is easy to make, and better mortar can be created with volcanic ash/rock, which shouldn't be a problem to gather.

And yes, you're thinking to much.
      Dew it !!

      Looks fantastic!
People have been using a form of mortar for thousands of years, mud, straw, and stone, one of civilization's first constructed dwellings.
      Your work is fits perfect.

Nice! It looks somehow in the middle between the high poly version and Mathy 3d stonewalls, but I like yours a lot more.
    Bravo
