Though I do question the use of the fine string around the handle on those two spots. Yes I know the original Bethesda Nettlebane also had that string on one spot, also serving no purpose.
As a solution you could try to make it look more like the organic part has encapsulated the tang and serves as a handle ?
Again : great work, beautiful detail and a million times better than the original.
