I used:
uExterior Cell Buffer=144
uGridsToLoad=11
iPreloadSizeLimit=126877696
..and it was just as stable as it was without the .ini edit. The LOD distance was noticeably increased, but not to the extent as in your screens.
EDIT: Or maybe it was. I'm still getting well above 50fps O_O
I have, NV GTX 960, Q-core i5 and 24Gb RAM
Preload is just as important as the others. Just copy&paste my settings, they are properly calculated.
Ugrids can only use odd numbers (11,13,15...), so
uExterior Cell Buffer= (X+1)^2
uGridsToLoad=X
iPreloadSizeLimit= (X*1024)^2
(^2 = power of 2 or [times by itself])
I might try and increase the uGrids value to see what difference it makes cause I saw no hit at all until I turned of collision and flew way above the ground.
Good to know that it seems to be more stable, though! Will give it a try later today.
