    how is progress on the whiterun plains mod coming?

      I'd say 95% done. I have to cover a few grassless patches and remove a couple bushes then it'll be ready for release

      awesome!! on another note, are there any plans to work on a whiterun outskirts mod of your own? ive recently been trying to make northern roads work with my modlist and my only two problem areas (i have all 3 patch collections and properly tagged NR in LOOT) are whiterunexterior01 to the area "coc whiterun" puts you and the solitude docks area. i love northern roads and i love mods that flesh out the docks and the whiterun outskirts, but i know patching a whiterun exterior mod + northern roads + lux via + unnamed whiterun plains mod is gonna be a pain. i know that its no fault of your own but it would cool to see your take on the area and it all, as they say, "just work"

      Yeah Whiterun's exterior is a popular location for overhauls so making combinations work can be tricky as there are so many possibilities. I've thought about making a Whiterun overhaul but it would be a remake of the whole city, including outskirts. I already have the layout done and it would work with OCS (which won't be to everybody's liking I know). For the time being I want to focus on three smaller scope projects (grass mod, tundra and berserk enemies) then fully focus on farmhouses and then after that maybe Whiterun. But there are definitely interesting things to try with the city and I've tons of ideas. The tricky part is actually doing it lol

      ocs is open cities? are you saying it will require open cities or just its compatible with open cities?

      I'm all for a COTN whiterun expansion I dislike trying to get 5 different mods working together by the time you do outskirts plus lux plus lux via plus a whiterun overhaul its like 15 to 20 plugins. it's gotten to the point I only use mods for the smaller cities and leave the larger ( whiterun and solitude windhelm riften) mostly alone.

      @majesticginger Yes require. If I'm doing major cities overhauls I don't see myself working without OCS as I've been playing with it since the beginning basically.

      @a1racer Same for me lol. I'm playing with Vanilla cities because combining dozens of different overhauls can quickly become a hassle.

      interesting choice. id support it though because ive always liked the concept of open cities but it was always a pain to patch with my city overhaul of choice. but if the city overhaul i like was MADE for OCS then there would be no problems.

      maybe this isnt a common opinion but personally ive always thought the closed vanilla cities were pretty good in vanilla, only needing small changes if any. in my 500 mod load order the only mods i use that modify inside the closed cities are Dragonsreach Entrance, Redbag's Solitude (mainly for the docks), Capital Windhelm Expansion and this mod. they do however all leave much to be desired on the outskirts. 

       i will admit though, i personally would likely wait to use it until all of your mods for the closed cities came out, mainly because i think solitude docks in vanilla are indesperate need of help and redbags solitude will be the best option until your mod comes out (if thats something youre doing)
