Solitude is now very medieval Norman inspired in its architecture, which I think is the perfect style for Skyrim’s Nord culture.
Windhelm’s architecture looks rugged, ancient in and intimidating in its appearance - which I believe fits the lore of one of the oldest cities in Skyrim.
and the sides reminded me a bit of one of the vanilla houses (I think it's Brunwulf's that has this kind of arch with a window in it, could be wrong tho)
Also fun fact: Most of Windhelm has to have been destroyed and rebuilt since the events of ESO as this is the only logical explanation for the changes in the cities layout and architectural style (or you could just not consider it canon)
P.S: You created the tower mesh yourself or is there some hidden gem of modder resource out there I have missed so far?
But I should get back into blender my self.
Edit: btw I've been wondering since you started this series about this so:
Do you plan to do Markarth aswell?
I ask because it already has an exellent mod for it: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/37375?
In vanilla Skyrim, Markarth is probably the most naturally well defended city. Although I do plan to Fortify it, but this is the last city on my list.
The concept I have is to build up the main wall higher, but then to also remove the strange stairs leading up, and instead have a waterfall coming out of the mountainside, so water flows in front of Markarth. Then I’ll have a double sided drawbridge. So this should make it very defensive.
