    Btw does anyone know what is causing that 'strange grid', which layers over my exterior shots?
    It's the main reason why I mostly take interior shots really

    Have you tried shooting in PNG instead of JPEG?

      Yep but I didn't try it the other way around :p
      It creates a png and a bmp.

    goam, I see something similar to this when I engage the console then do a toggle menus and take a screenshot.
    I characterize it as pixelation but I do not know what causes it but there is a correlation with using the console.
    Whereas, when I go into the console and toggle menus and then disengage the console,  and take the same screenshot, I don't see the pixelation.

    Also, make sure you have the game Ambient Occlusion disabled in the skyrimprefs.ini file as it creates very dark and pixelated shadows for instance on armpits:
    bIndEnable=0
    bSAO_CS_Enable=0
    bSAOEnable=0

    It is easy for this to be reset to be enabled if you use Bethini because it enables the game ambient occlusion by default.

      Hey gurley, thanks a lot for your thoughts
      My ini settings are identical. That the issue is console correlated makes a lot of sense to me. Like even tho it is with the 'tm' command a hidden interface, it would convert to this grid overlay when taking a screenshot. Or using the 'tfc 1' command to pause the game to capture movement.
      I thought there could be some unnoticeable jittering, which causes the problem in screenshots. But in my case none of it seems to be the reason for it :/
      What I could think of atm would be an overuse of either bloom, lens or adaption. I'll have to do some good testing and troubleshooting at some point.

      No worries, I think this issue is somewhat uncommon.

    try setting the ENB Detailed Shadows setting to high and increasing the SSAO Quality/Filters to high as well.

      Hey thanks for your thoughts :) My detailed shadows are high already but I'll try and look into my SSAO settings. Although everything looks sharp and smooth in game, it only gets messed up in screenshot form. The odd thing about it is also that the grid doesn't behave like static pixels. If you open the image in another tab and zoom in, the grid changes its scale.

    I was wondering the same.... I think I have seen this in other images too, and maybe I have seen it on my own screen too. Can't remember.
    I'll let you know if I have any more info...

    Could be a reshade / enb issue ?
    Driver perhaps ?
    nvidia control center settings ?

      Yes I also think it is because of some enb setting (I don't use reshade). I think bloom or lens effects might be the culprit. I'll have to troubleshoot it at some point.
