Experimenting with Complex Parallax on Roads

I've been messing around with re-texturing Blended Roads. The picture is of Dragon Bridge. In the original Blended Roads the stones were removed from the roadway and it just has dirt. I added an extra curved flat mesh over the top of the dirt mesh and enabled complex parallax on it.

I'm thinking about experimenting with the flat version of Blended Roads to see how enabling Complex Parallax on the flat meshes compares to the Really Blended Roads version. The Complex Parallax versions don't look as tall as the Really Blended Roads, but they have a lot lower polygon count. I'm not sure if having complex parallax enabled on all of the road meshes would be less demanding, comparable, or more demanding than higher poly meshes, but it will be interesting to see. At least I can say I tried. :)
