About this image

Yep, I've got another question. I hope it's the last for the time being...

Doesn't the water LODs look ... wrong? I'm using Water for ENB, and the water next to my character looks flawlessly beautiful. Further away though ... :/

its normal, what you could do to fight this when using WFE is decrease the wave settings in enb gui under the Water section

Thank you very much for your reply!! Would you mind telling me where those settings are exactly and how they are called?

In your enbseries.ini of your enb preset. I'd edit it ingame by opening the ingame ui of enb.

What you are seeing is the transition from distant LOD water to nearby water that is controlled by ENB Water parameters.
This transition is a delicate balancing act adjusting the ENB Water parameters to minimize the transition.
The LOD water doesn't have transparency so I would recommend reducing the transparency to around .85
The distant water will have some waves so I would increase the wave height to match the distant water.
But objectively it looks good the way it is.
From a realistic immersion perspective, think of the near water as a cove shielded from wind by nearby trees creating calm water.
Whereas the open water in the main lake is more subject to wind which creates waves. :)

Oh, wow, thank you very, very much for your detailed reply, you seem to have a great ENB knowledge!! I admire that - I'm a complete noob when it comes to ENB settings... x)
Would you mind telling me which settings do you exactly mean and how they are called?

Not sure what ENB you are using but there is a mod that was just released for PI-CHO water adjustments that should work well with any ENB preset.
      ENB Water Fixes
Follow the instructions but basically replace the Water section of your enbseries.ini file with the Water section from his downloaded text file and then save the changes in your enbseries.ini file.
The enbseries.ini file is one of the files included with any ENB preset and can be found in the root of your Skyrim SE game folder.
Let me know if you need any help.

Yeah it looks some kind of mish-match of textures for the water. I don't think the far off ripples and stuff are controlled by ENB but I could be mistaken
Lovely pic though, the colors of that sunset are surreal
