Long story short, in vanilla Lynly is blonde, but Sibbi says she has long dark hair.
In the cards from Legends she has mid-short dark hair.
So I figured bleaching hair is a bit more complicated and maybe she just decided to cut her long hair and hide her face a bit.

Getting the hair a lighter tone is one thing, but to go from dark to the platinum blond portrayed in vanilla is already very aggressive on the hair with modern products, it would've probably done a lot of damage if using ammonia or similar stuff, wouldn't recommend :P
